Whether you’re a Christian or not I bet you can relate. Every religion has extremes and those who manipulate its teachings for power, profit, or personal gain. This is not a new phenomenon but sadly it seems like more and more people are either falling prey to false teachings or being turned off from exploring faith because of how they see people who claim to be of that faith behaving. I’m a Christian and I want to represent Christ well so that others are drawn to want to know Him. We all make mistakes. We all sin and make choices that we wish we could change. Yet GOD still loves us and forgives. I encourage you to show yourself the same level of grace and forgiveness you extend to others. It’s gonna be okay. We all live and learn. #liveencouraged

This is what it looks like when my ADHD brain kicks in while praying…🤣 I am writing multiple prayers for different people in different journals at the same time. 🤦🏾‍♀️📖📖📖😂 But this is also why writing my prayers down helps. I don’t always write them. I can just pray aloud or silently. But often my brain “squirrels” and bounces around and I find that I start praying for one person and then end up praying about something else. So as chaotic as this may look, it actually helps me complete each prayer because I can go back and finish where I left off. I don’t know what God thinks about this, but I’m sure He’s laughing at me from Heaven. 😜

Let’s be real. These days it’s hard to stay positive and #keepthefaith when you see so much seemingly going wrong in the world. Personally I can get caught up in how things are effecting me and let my mind spiral with negative thoughts. What helps me is to stop and #prayforsomeoneelse It immediately takes my focus off of me and helps me gain perspective and increase my empathy for what others are going through. I am #lovedandblessed and #prayingforothers reminds me that no matter what I’m experiencing there are others who are going through extremely tough times too. I often pray for my pastor or for pastor friends. And sometimes I pray for all pastors and priests and preachers of The Gospel. But I think there is something special about just picking a pastor that I don’t know, that I have or haven’t heard preach to pray for. All pastors need prayer. They are human just like us going through the joys and challenges of life. And they have the added pressure of leading their congregation and representing God in a more public way than most people will ever experience. Will you #praywithme today? I live in Los Angeles and am praying for my friends and neighbors who have been evacuated, who have lost their homes and those who are being affected by the winds, smoke and horrible air quality. I had a plan for my #biblestudy time this morning…but God had something else in store. As I was checking my phone before putting it away, I saw my friend @_myammee_ had been live talking about Romans 13:8-10. Romans was not what I was planning to study but it is my favorite book of the Bible, so I figured I’d listen to what she had to say. Whew! When I tell you she spoke directly to me! I want you to go listen to what she shared so I won’t recap it all here…but when she said that “being a Christian is on the job training” I said “AMEN!” She gave me the #encouragement I needed to hear as we shift into 2025. 2024 exhausted me emotionally y’all! Yet, I still have a continuing debt to love others. LOVE is the fulfillment of the law. Thank you for the reminder @_myammee_ I love you and thank God for how He is using you as a light that helps others see Him. Keep doing what you do! 💕💗

Let’s be honest, sometimes people just drive you crazy. Even ones who we love. Even when it’s unintentional. Now sometimes it’s intentional too but I find that no matter the situation or intentions, if I end up focusing on what they said or did, I waste my energy being annoyed and if I’m not careful it can ruin my day. My feelings can steal my own joy and disrupt my peace. So when I find that I am holding onto something and just can’t let it go, praying for the other person - not what they did and how they wronged me - is the thing that pulls my mind back to peace and my heart to forgiveness. Wearing little hidden messages of #faith and #encouragement helps me to stay #hopeful throughout each day. I do this on days that I go out and days that I stay home, because these reminders are just for me. When I’m nervous or anxious about something I have to do at work, I like to wear these #sendme #socks On this day, I was dreading a tough conversation I had to have with a colleague. Wearing these under my boots reminded me that God was with me. That He had tasked me with this for a purpose and I just have to have faith and trust Him to guide me through.
