Amsterdam-based designer Laura ter Veer presents LES FILLES DU BROUILLARD, a six-look conceptual runway collection developed at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute that cuts through romantic illusion to expose the structures beneath fashion’s spectacle. Drawing on figures from a 19th-century Parisian maison close, The Madame, Sinner in Silk, The Girl in the Gown and more, she channels themes of invisible labour, sacrifice, validation, and gatekeeping into silhouettes that fuse nineteenth-century dress with transparent leathers, burnt velvets, faded silks, and layered deconstruction.
