Kim of Tikiâs Hairdressers has supported local women for 38 years. She has built more than a business â she has created trust, care, privacy and continuity for generations of clients.
Due to circumstances beyond her control, Kim now needs to leave her current premises. We are trying to help her find a small private room where she can continue working part-time, ideally Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
This is especially important for women who need privacy during appointments for cultural or religious reasons. A standard salon chair is not suitable â Kim needs a private, respectful space.
She has her own equipment and can work independently. A room with access to water would be ideal.

Reasons to be Cheerful (part 2).
The new @vam_east museum is also showing its first paid for exhibition- The Music is Black.
It will be up your street if you like a bit of fashion, politics and a bit of protest and a good dance. Got some great headphones to wear as you wander around. Got lost (in the best possible way) to the tuuunes!
Liked it and worth a visit. Whatâs a bit disconcerting is that a lot of this is the soundtrack for my youth⌠in a museum. đ§Ą

Reasons to be cheerful (part 1).
I like the @vam_east đ§Ą
Itâs a top addition to east London life. As you round the corner at @sadlerswells_east then past the Beeb and @unioftheartslondon campus and a quick view of @westham on the way, thereâs a lot going on.
Inside itâs all geometry and the best angled staircases that reveal the building gradually. And some lovely hidden spots to people watch, too.
For a relatively small space thereâs soo much to see. Donât even get me started on #themusicisblack and a soundscape of pure joy. Thatâs for Reasons to be Cheerful part 2.
Theyâve set themselves a challenge to inspire and reflect the communities of the east end (and beyond) and attract wider audiences. I mean if this your local museum of the future, then bring it on.
You even get a panorama from the roof terrace looking back west to those other museums and galleries.
Itâs a great nod to everything that was uplifting about the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony.
