I made a thing! I’ve always wanted to make a quilted garment and @earlybirdquiltshop did not disappoint with offering this delightful oversized quilt vest workshop using the @hotgirlquilting vest pattern! Had the best time working with these gifted women over 2 days.
You don’t see it here because I didn’t document my breakdown ugly cry when I struggled to put on the placket but @love__hideko & @mama_b_is_sew_fun came to the rescue to help me. Despite that one frustrating moment of perfectionist paralysis + hormonal swings, I still showed up and finished it up when I got home.
So proud of this one. I learned how to more efficiently make my own bias tape and put on grommets and snaps. Can’t wait to take another workshop at Early Bird. Here’s to dusting off the sewing machine/old skills and doing something hard and new.
