I’m not perfect.. I never was and somewhere along the way, I stopped pretending I needed to be.
I’m officially 30 pounds lighter.
I now know tha this isn’t really about the weight. It’s about the moment I stopped trying to punish myself into someone worth loving and started meeting myself exactly where I am.
I used to think love was something I had to earn, that if I could just be better and more than I am then I’d finally deserve it. But love doesn’t work like that. The kind that heals you isn’t a reward for becoming someone else.
It’s what happens when you stop running from who you already are.
