The foundation of any movement, of any future, are the youth who call our communities home. On February 12, 2026 we saw students from Dodge City High School organize and participate in a walkout in support of immigrant rights and against 🧊 abuse. While state legislators in Topeka fought to silence the voices of young people by establishing fines for school districts who don’t stop these walkouts, these students were advocating and speaking out for their classmates and neighbors. This is what real leadership and bravery looks like. The students of DCHS demonstrated that you don’t need a lot to stand up for what’s right, you just need a heart.❤️ We will ALWAYS stand with young people and their 1st amendment rights. Your voice is powerful and transformative, otherwise why would they be trying so hard to silence you? Stay strong, keep up the good fight.
