Have you ever sat in a darkroom, straining to see the numbers on a timer in dim red light? This is Scratchy Pooch, one of my Precious Beasts, trapped inside a television. Made with photographic paper, cardboard stencils, and layers of light — each exposure burning a different piece of the picture. I picked flowers outside the darkroom door and used them as the antenna.

Crystal Screen is part of the Apparatus branch — works that look at devices and how they present the world to us.
Cut and polished from optical crystal. When you look through it, the image behind inverts. The same refraction that extended human sight now sits in the palm of a hand, delivering us somewhere else entirely.
