Being on air at 107.1 Lagos reminded me of the importance of being the first. The one who decides that it stops here. The one who chooses to break cycles, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it’s unpopular, even when it feels like everybody is against you.
Because let’s be real… choosing freedom isn’t always celebrated at first.
Choosing your voice can make people uncomfortable.
Choosing to release what has been keeping you stuck can disrupt everything around you.
But still, you choose it.
You choose to do it with grace.
You choose to do it unapologetically.
And most importantly, you choose to do it with purpose.
What I’ve learned is this, sometimes it feels like you’re doing the work alone. Like you’re carrying the weight by yourself. But then one day, you look up, and the very people who passed those cycles down to you are free too. And the powerful part, you didn’t even have to say a word. Your decision became the permission.
That’s what Un-Released is about.
It’s about recognizing the patterns, finding your voice, and making the decision to no longer stay stuck.
