Linville Falls soft reopening of hiking trails today! My happy day! Hurricane Helene was almost 20 months ago. This is a significant milestone for recovery efforts in western N.C. A happy day for so many reasons. So many lives impacted by Hurricane Helene including households and businesses. It has been a challenging almost 20 months and to have this iconic waterfall hiking trails reopen is another step in western N.C. recovery efforts. We have survived, we are resilient and we will recover!
