Slick, squishy and sexy 🍒 Alongside the brand identity, we created the name LYLO (@lylodxb ) recognising the opportunity in a compact four-letter word that could carry both slickness and allure. This gave us the perfect foundation for a bold, sculptural logomark inspired by extreme 1970s lettering and exaggerated through the lens of ‘inflated reality’. Hand-drawn and modelled in 3D, each curve was carefully refined to balance tension and volume. Finished in a glossy, plasticky sheen, the mark sits knowingly between high-end 70s design and modern kitsch. #LogoDesign #BrandIdentity #Logo #Iconography #GraphicDesign #DigitalDesign #BrandBuilding #LostPropertyStudio

For LYLO, we created 3D iconography and a series of short stories to help build the world 🌍 We developed a collection of inflatable-inspired icons that sit deliberately between poolside novelty and high-art glass sculpture. Rendered in exaggerated, high-gloss forms, they bring a bold, almost Carmen Miranda–like energy to the identity – playful, sculptural, and unapologetically fun. Each element was modelled and rendered in 3D, allowing the icons to live flexibly across menus, digital content, and as physical objects throughout the venue. These were paired with a series of short narratives inspired by vintage magazine clippings from the 70s, woven through the menu and the space. Each clipping comes with a ‘fact’ – maybe true, maybe not – written to hint at the characters you might expect to find here, and the rules they play by. Introducing LYLO 🫦 An immersive brand world for a new speakeasy cocktail bar on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Created in partnership with the teams behind @canaryclubdxb and @themainedxb , LYLO is a brand identity designed to be dripping in mystique, indulgence and mischief. The brand world is shaped by inflated reality: opulence pushed just beyond good taste, kitsch embraced knowingly, and luxury delivered with a wink. From devising the name LYLO to designing its bold, hand-drawn logomark, we crafted the identity to come alive through glossy, inflatable-inspired forms. Featuring a saturated red-led palette, tactile menus, surreal icons and playful storytelling woven throughout the space. The result is an immersive, multi-sensory brand experience that blurs the line between high design and unapologetic fun. If you’ve ever experienced this blue at Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech, at Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul in Mexico City, or standing in front of an original Yves Klein painting, you’ll know it’s a colour that’s not only seen, but felt. In our identity for Super Generic, we were drawn not only to its electric intensity, but to its history. For centuries, blue was notoriously difficult to produce. With no easy natural pigments, it became rare, expensive, and symbolic of value and power – hence Royal Blue. Klein’s work in the 1950s changed that, as he pursued his mission to find the perfect blue. Today, this blue is taken for granted – cheap, digital, available in a tin from B&Q. That tension is exactly what interested us. Something once precious, now overlooked. Set against a bright, neutral monochrome palette, the blue punches through, much like how Klein’s blue behaves in an art gallery. 🔷🎛️ Full case study live now. What font is super generic? Times New Roman is default and ubiquitous. Starting here allowed the system to begin from something instantly familiar and widely available, rather than something precious or bespoke. The idea wasn’t to disguise that familiarity, but to work with it and enhance it. The ligatures are where this really comes to life. They act as a metaphor for classical typography and music, introducing rhythm, softness, and movement into an otherwise rigid structure. Solid forms begin to flow and static lettering starts to feel more alive. 🔷🎛️ Full case study live now. The centrepiece of this identity is the Blue Brick. A brick is about as generic as it gets – overlooked, everyday, foundational. Rendered in electric blue, it creates tension between the ancient and the futuristic, recasting the familiar as something charged and full of presence. It isn’t a logo in the traditional sense. It can’t be flattened, reduced, or diluted. It exists only as a colour image or object – and in that refusal to compromise, the idea (the art) stays pure. The Blue Brick becomes an elemental unit: not just a mark, but a thing. Something that can exist in the world, and a material language from which other things can be built. 💙🎹 Full case study live now. Introducing Super Generic 🔷 A new electronic, neoclassical and experimental record label from @matthewsinstagram and @tribemanagement . In an industry increasingly shaped by algorithms and trend cycles, Super Generic is a platform for artist-led projects – supporting recorded music, visual art, and live performance. The name Super Generic became the concept for the identity itself. Rooted in a simple design idea: make the generic, super. The visual identity plays with the tension between classical and contemporary references, creating something that feels both grounded and radical at the same time. This project captures so much of what we love to explore – uncompromising ideas and building a kind of mythology around a brand that invites you to look a little deeper, while keeping a sense of intrigue and mystique. 🟦🎶 Full case study live now.
