What does creativity mean to you? This is something I’ve asked myself often. This past year I felt stagnant, uninspired, creatively dry. I decided to give myself a challenge to break the rhythm of negativity, so last month I visited California with one goal in mind - to create a short film in under 48 hours only using the #lumixS5 (DC-S5KK) from @lumixusa . From shooting surfers in lowlight to handling my duel photo/video needs, this camera preformed beautifully. I even took my first time-lapse ever on this trip. This is one of my favorite video projects that I’ve put together and it was a good reminder that creative limits really can be what you make them. Excited to keep putting this thing to the test. #ad #MovingImagesForward
Kona making friends with the surfers last year in Northern California. This area has been one of my favorite places to photograph throughout the years. Stoked to get back out here soon 💫
Took some time off of Instagram to focus on other aspects of life. It’s good to take a break and realize that digital persona isn’t the most import thing to maintain. Regardless, so many things have been in the works and I’m wrapping up a couple of projects that I’m truly proud of. Back on the road this week to make some more magic, this time to California, so here are some frames from my last trip out. No rhyme or reason, just some special moments I thought I’d share. Hope y’all have been well 🌱
With all my time spent in the outdoors it became natural to bring a dog along #ad. Caring equally about sustainable living and my dog’s health, I decided to partner with @karmapetfoods to spread the word about their plant-first pet food that’s rooted in community and committed to finding ways to live greener. Arlo the pup loves it, and it’s awesome for me as an owner to support a brand aligned with my values. I put their link in my bio, check them out if you’re looking for a brand committed to sustainability and overall pet health. #TheKarmaKollective
Summers are better spent with friends, and more likely than not we’re bringing a pup along for the ride #ad. Arlo is the newest addition to our family, and when @karmapetfoods reached out for a partnership I was stoked to find a brand committed to sustainability and pet nutrition. They make plant-first dog food, which means living greener, and are working to build a community for people equally passionate about sustainability and their dogs called #thekarmakollective. It only felt right to get outside with Arlo and celebrate making positive choices for the planet.
