I started shuffling in 2008. It's been years. Younger me would be astonished at the way I dance. Younger me would be proud of who I am, who I became. I've never thought I would have gotten this far and stayed dedicated to something. This is not just a dance. This is an art form, an expression of within. Yes, the dance is supposed to look a certain way. Moves are supposed to be executed a certain way, but at the end of the day, I don't follow the rules. I just let the style take over. I take pride on being different, unique in its own way. Still following the principles of shuffling but adding my own little twist. And to think I was gonna quit all of this a few years ago. Just give it up and walk away like it never happened. In reality you can never deny something that shapes who you are and has impact on your life. Good thing I didn't walk, who knows where I would be without this dance and this community 🙏🏽✨️🕺🏽💯🙌🏽
