May Day is for queer liberation and immigrant justice! We will be at two places at once on this International Workers’ Day doing outreach about workers’ issues — like homophobia, transphobia, and racist opposition to immigration.
At the First Friday Art Walk, join us, Notes of Dissent 🎺, and Bread & Roses Legal Center 🏴 for our monthly protest against the Drip Café, a coffeeshop run by a fundamentalist Christian, anti-LGTBQ+ church. (For more info, check out the anti-Drip slideshows pinned to our Instagram page.)
At the Federal Theatre, join us, Jeanette Vizguerra, and a host of activist groups at a concert featuring Los Mocochetes 🤧, Ritmo Cascabel 🪗, and Manny 🎸. We’ll be there to talk about what it will take to abolish ICE, borders, the police, and prisons — and to distribute books on those subjects. Also on offer: food, jewelry, Chinga La Migra t-shirts, know your rights and labor rights materials, and more.
Thank you to photographer Brooks Svitak @bsvis for these beautiful photos capturing our Grand Opening celebration.
The beautiful paintings you can see on display in the photos are by renowned muralist Leo Tanguma. Tanguma is doing a residency at the Colorado People’s Center through July 4. Drop in from 10am-2pm Tuesday-Saturday to see his latest work in progress as well as many pieces displayed throughout the center, and talk directly with the artist!
Thank you again to @losmocochetes and @djtatinova for bringing the music that brought this celebration to life!
We are excited to feature local artists Los Mocochetes and DJ Tati Nova at our Grand Opening celebration Saturday, April 18!

Enough is enough! 🚨 Launching a Legal & Mutual Aid Fund for Our Families.
Under the current administration, the immigrant community is under attack. Families are being torn apart by ICE raids, causing not only deep emotional trauma but also devastating economic and material losses.
As individuals are transferred and rotated across the country during detention, navigating a fair legal process becomes nearly impossible. Many have no family nearby and no resources. After months in detention, they cannot afford a lawyer. And even if they have legal counsel, the ongoing costs are unsustainable. Many qualify for bond but have no way to pay it.
That's why we created this Legal and Mutual Aid Fund: tinyurl.com/fukICE
We want to help as much as possible, and what better way to do that than by celebrating our culture and resistance?
🎶 Join us for the Concert: "Chinga la Migra/Fuck ICE" 🎶
A fundraiser to directly support families suffering from this unjust separation.
