Usually at our pop-up market, I’m in the background , but this past weekend, I got to be part of it! I finally tested out an idea I’d been flirting with for a while: sharing my love for chai by making my own spice blends for y’all to try!
Ask any girl child from a 🇹🇿Swahili home and she’ll tell you — “kupika chai ni muhimu” — making tea is serious business. It’s your first test in the kitchen and a lesson in care, culture, and community.
Now bear with me, I’m still getting my ducks in a row with this venture — but I did the most important thing: I started. And I’m really proud of myself for that.
We sold out!
Our very first market with The Swahili Tea Station was a dream. Thank you to every single person who stopped by for a cup, conversation, or curiosity. From our chai lovers to golden milk newbies — your support, warmth, and good vibes made this debut so special.
Serving East African-inspired spice blends from the flask to your hearts was more than just tea — it was story, culture, connection. And we’re only just getting started.
Catch The Swahili Tea Station at the next one 💛💙💚🖤

Introducing LOCH & KEY – a space for creatives, dreamers, and doers who want to understand how to own what they make and monetize their magic.
This isn’t just an IP blog. It’s a shared workspace. A place where we unpack the value behind our ideas, where we talk ownership, protection, power and how all of that shows up in the lives of artists, musicians, designers, writers, and innovators across the globe.
LOCH & KEY was born from my deep passion for unlocking knowledge around intellectual property (IP), and making those systems less invisible and more empowering, especially for creatives in emerging spaces who’ve been shut out for far too long.
This platform is my offering.
A living testimony of what happens when you dare to build with intention, share what you know, and honor the call to serve.
I dedicate this and all future work to my friend Tanyaradzwa “Blah” Muchemwa who was the personification of God’s instruction to use our purpose and passion as a testimony and service. Tanya, thank you for staying with me🤍I carry you in my heart,Always. Stay on my neck @blahtee 🙏🏽
Let’s build smarter. Let’s own what’s ours.

Excited to be moderating a panel tomorrow at the #Shoko2025 Hub UnConference, opening this year’s festival week under the theme “Decolonise the Internet.”
Our discussion is titled:
From Songs to Systems: The Role of ZIMURA, Zimbabwe Music Union, and NAMA in Strengthening Zimbabwe’s Creative Economy.
We’ll be unpacking if institutions like ZIMURA, the Zimbabwe Music Union, and NAMA are going beyond celebrating artists to actually building systems that protect, empower, and sustain them. From royalties to unions to national awards, these structures are key to shaping a cultural ecosystem that safeguards IP, creates jobs, and positions the arts as a vital driver of Zimbabwe’s identity and economy.
I look forward to learning from our panelists and hearing your thoughts.
Music industry friends — what questions would you like me to bring into this conversation?

This year I’m speechless….But remember the time you pretended you could cook ( last slide) and tried to make us a lil snack and we soon discovered that there are in fact things that you can’t do 😂🫠 Oh Bey! I love you girl. Call me back! My edges are in disarray and I need them Cecred drops.
The grace of time and experience is what shape us into the individuals we become. The beauty is embracing the mistakes we make and learn from them. Celebrating the wins and building a tribe that appreciates your value. The Rungano Rwedu persona is powerful, strong, resilient and like my mother would say, “built to last.”
