R.I.P. Tim Berling, aka @AVICII Andy Van, John Course & I launched his career in 2008 and I met a wonderful young man, full of confidence & humility - two traits normally diametrically opposite. I only wished I could have guided him for more than his first 3 years. I'm so sorry for you Tim! I dearly wanted to see you again since your rebirth. I was excited for the return to your passion of producing, as you told me. I'll miss you 🙏
New chapter loading…I’m excited to announce I’ve stepped down as President of Dim Mak to pursue my own management & consultancy company, TrueStep Productions. This week at Miami Music Week will be the first official front-facing run for TrueStep across six panels and I couldn’t be more ready to build cool projects with cool people.
I’ve loved my 12 years at Dim Mak and want to thank @steveaoki for his faith in recruiting me from Australia back in 2013. It’s been an incredible journey breaking amazing artists and continually pushing the culture forward, so I’m grateful to be still staying close as an independent consultant & special advisor to Steve & Dim Mak.

Career milestone: ✅ I discovered @jamesbrown through my dj mentor Gary James (who left me his vinyl, RIP) and I’d play “I Got You (I Feel Good)” as my end-of-night track in almost every set. Fast forward to early 2025, I was humbled to meet his grandson @jasonbrownlegacy - who asked @laidbackluke to be the first ever electronic dance dj/artist to collab with his grandfather.
Luke & I worked hard on the production, pouring over the holy grail of stems from 1971, listening closely to details like the swing, and respecting the iconic artistry behind them. This rework is dancefloor-ready and a bonafide earworm.
