This is what my soul needed. An epic evening of a masterful performance, conversation, laughter and a couple of great meals. You are a gem, Ron Demaio. Forever grateful for the time I got to spend in your life changing program and the shows you directed, in high school, as well as the time throughout these many years. Your support from then to now has been one of life’s greatest gifts. More to come. #healingthroughthearts #tobetrulyseenandheard #theatrematters #dramateachersavelives

I miss my dad so much. It’s devastating not talking to him everyday. It’s nice to know he was being honored last night at the Herricks Community Fund dinner that he attended every year. He was a pillar of that community. I wish I could have been there to celebrate.

When I was a teenager dreaming of my first car it was always a Vintage VW Bug convertible. My dad made it happen. When he bought it for me it was a disaster. Originally orange with a black top and black interior. Holes in the floor. Electrical tape holding the back window of the rag top together. I was 16 and felt like the luckiest girl in the world. The film Pretty in Pink was in theatres and I was obsessed. Molly Ringwald’s character drove a pink VW Karmann Ghia and I too had to have a pink car. Dad sunk some money into the bargain he found and the result is the 2nd photo. Metallic pink. White top. White interior. The day I received my drivers license I drove it to school. I’ll never forget that first day. Never. I miss that car & I miss my dad, so very much. 💔 Photo #1: “Before”: My pal Liane sporting her Cure concert tee in the Bug before I could drive it. Photo #2: “After”: Parked in Queens, NY

For those that have inquired: The mass for my father, Peter, at St. Aidan Church in Williston Park, NY will be live streamed if you are interested in attending virtually. Of course you can join us in person if you are in the NY area. Saturday, January 10th 9:45am EST This is the link to their website. Scroll toward the bottom of the home page and you will see a “Click” botton to livestream through Vimeo and another botton for Facebook. / Thank you for all of your love and support. My brother and I are overwhelmed but not surprised, by the out pouring of love we are experiencing for our dear old dad. He touched countless lives. It was his daily mission…to connect with everyone in his path. He knew how to make people feel seen and appreciated. I miss him. It’s impossible to comprehend that he is no longer walking the earth telling his favorite stories, singing his favorite songs, spending time with the folks that he loved. He loved life. He loved people. He was the most social person I knew. He was much younger at heart than his 80 year old age. ❤️

With heavy hearts and a deep and profound sadness we said goodbye early this morning to our wonderful father. Peter Joseph Triolo Sr. leaves behind a significant legacy of kindness, humility, compassion and love. He was a person of deep character—quietly generous, caring, and fiercely loyal to the people he held dear to his heart. He was a very proud and active member of the Herricks, Williston Park and Mineola communities for over 50 years. He was a devoted father and a proud, loving grandfather to his two grandchildren, Alex & Mia who brought him immense joy. His family was at the center of his life, and his love for them was steady, patient, and unconditional. To his many friends and the countless people whose lives he touched, he was a trusted companion and a gentle presence. He cared deeply for others, and that care was returned many times over by those who were fortunate enough to know him. For nearly half a century, he worked as a commercial printer in Manhattan, a profession that reflected his dedication, craftsmanship, and strong work ethic. He took pride in his work and in the relationships he built along the way, leaving a quiet but lasting mark through years of steady commitment to every element of the trade. For over 35 years, he also shared his passion for community theater, giving his time, talent, and heart to the stage. Through countless performances, rehearsals, and friendships formed under the lights, he found joy in storytelling and in bringing people together. Music was another great love of his life, and as a singer at local venues, he used his voice to uplift, entertain, and connect with others. We both know that our father will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his friends, and the entire community. We will share the details about services for him in the coming days
