I’m-permeable Enclave of Contraction -4 aluminum air ducts -4 speaker chassis -aluminum frame nonagon -window reflective foil -LED strips -4.1 sound system Different from an ‘immersive environment’, in this first iteration of this body of work I suggest an immersion experience through the contrast created between the poles of emersion and immersion by an enterable inner-reduced-space that simulates this separation. Two soundscapes reinforcing this contrast: (1) within the reduced space - collection of sounds from both my head and my friend’s head: yawns, eardrum popping, mouth/throat activity, backneck during head movements, blinking eyelids, breathing, an attempt of recording my own voluntary activation of the tensor-tympani muscle, inner monologues spoken out loud; (2) through 4.1 - soundwalks: 4 airports’ shopping areas, one supermarket, one hardware store, and one shopping center. // The self as an enclave of extractive contraction. A metaphor about self-consumption, about the transfer/handover of power over our individual and communal sovereignty, for the replacement of our spaces of meaning creation with spaces of massive and expansive non-significance. How is a soundscape like this associated with us? What metaphors can be found in these trances of non-sharing, where conversations do not take place, and only some fragments detached from other lives and stories are captured? What is the value of these non-exchanges? How do these soundscapes alienate us from the collective? How do our own experiences become fragments detached from an incomplete, torn, and interrupted narrative, shaped by a state of attentional debt and a semantic and spiritual contraction? What is the relationship between the separation of private and public space and the immanent separation of the collective and the individual? How are these permeable spaces interwoven? What determines their degree of permeability? Is this alienation a simultaneous effect of the sealing off of our mental spaces? ______________ @zwitschermashine - @soundsabout.gallery 10.25 gratitude & appreciation: @rahiiiabr & @brotheraten last photo: @annalenabipoc

i made this during the workshop ‘on propositional listening - practices of discursive relations’ by @jacoberik during the previous summer many new insights, refreshing perspectives, so many ways to actively engage as a listener part of my writings are tinged with mourning decompressions, and part of it is just me trying to make sense of my own relational experience through the act of listening

Pulse Response | AV Performance | Friday 27.02.2026 | Doors 18:30 | Start 20:00 | End 22:00 | @soundsabout.gallery Projektraum Zwitschermaschine | Potsdamer Str. 161, 10783 Berlin with @lorisfoti and @elis.avisca Pulse Response is a satellite event emerging from the AV seminars and a workshop at @udkberlin_sounds It presents an exploration of synthesis, as both technical process and conceptual framework, working with modular audio, video synthesis and custom circuits. The projects investigate how signals move and transform across sound and image, approaching synthesis as a space of emergence and cross-modal thinking, real-time processing, and feedback structures. After the disappointing announcement about the closure of our program by UdK, this event searches to highlight the importance of auditory culture and art in Berlin. As part of the SoundsAbout season, it is aimed as an act of resistance and solidarity with all of our faculty and fellow students. SoundS matters, education and culture are non negotiable. #performance #live #avperformance #synthesis #feedback

Demilitarized Musik | jul-11-25 a snippet of the live performance i worked on for the radio show as part of the experimental radio seminar @cashmere_radio the idea came after stumbling upon a couple of vhs cassettes in the streets, both are recordings of military band concerts, cologne/berlin, both from 2003 i took two vhs players, opened them up to capture the motors’ electromagnetic field with a couple of inductors-from one, and to parasitically intervene the other with a tape player head, then i played them back and ranted on top about costa rica’s demilitarization history and the state as a construct while i was progressively filtering my voice and simultaneously filtering the vhs’ audio with 4 @neutone_ai morph vst instances, sort of dissolving meaning altogether ( the toy gun was also found it in the streets, a couple of weeks after the performance ) the text on the first image is the end of the rant; here’s the actual extract heard from the audio: ‘I’M THINKING RIGHT NOW HOW THE VALUES OF CAPITALISM, WHICH AT ITS CORE RELATE IN A COMPLEX AND MULTILAYERED MANNER WITH MILITARISM AND ECONOMY AS A SYSTEM THAT PERPETUATES THE EXISTENCE OF AN ASSEMBLAGE THAT SERVES IDEALS, INTERESTS, DEMOGRAPHICS, TECHNOLOGIES, CULTURES, AND HENCE, ARE POLITICAL AGENDAS THAT FOLLOW THE PREVIOUS.’ comparto esto ahora, a propósito de las elecciones en costa rica, con una presidenta electa parte de un partido que amenaza la soberanía, la democracia y uno de los mayores logros, que si bien no es perfecto, pero es un lujo que siempre ha destacado, y uno de los mayores empoderamientos de un pueblo: la abolición del ejército Atención Costa Rica, a alzar nuestra única y más valiosa arma, la voz

When you’ve finished recording, you may hang up, or press 1 for more options.’ reactive sound installation for : *triggered answering machines sample bank *op-amp w/ open ends for tactile interface *hanging speakers assemblage —back then i was thinking a lot about (in)-communication, asynchrony, asymmetry inter(non)connectedness; so i wanted to invite people to hold hands, smile, and maybe have a bit of fun many many thanks to @zabulaimya and @studio.db.berlin for the invitation to share space with such a nice line-up of artists and musicians (!)
