This August, we present a very special Family & Friends listening session of the 2016 album ‘Malibu’ By Anderson .Paak (

Riding the momentum from his standout contributions to Dr. Dre’s ‘Compton’ (where he was featured on six tracks) .Paak followed up with his breakthrough album ‘Malibu’ debuting a genre-defining sound of Funk, Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, Gospel, and Jazz—working alongside legendary producers & musicians like Madlib, 9th Wonder, Kaytranada, Like, DJ Khalil to name a few contributors on this album.
This marked his first personal record, shaped by his upbringing and roots in Black church. Critically lauded across the board, ‘Malibu’ earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album & continues to be a west coast classic today.
We will be listening to the album front to back on our Hi-Fi sound system at the peak of the evening.
To open the night up, we are bringing in our good friend and vinyl club member
@clearlyitslike . A three time Grammy nominee producer and founder of the group Pac Div. He also Produced the track “Room in Here” on the album. He is gonna open up the night with R&B, Soul & Hip-Hop classics from his stacks.
To get us ready for the album, we are bringing in the legendary Eddie Mac (
@eddiemaclv ) to spin some records from his personal collection. Founder of
@macagencylv & prolific DJ based out of Las Vegas, NV. Eddie began DJ’ing the Silk Sonic afterparties in Vegas, where Anderson .Paak found his love and soon to be dedication to DJ and spin only-vinyl. Today, Eddie serves as the Vinyl Curator and right-hand to
@djpee.wee , helping bring their one-of-a-kind, vinyl-driven sound to audiences around the world, one record at a time.
Lastly, DJ Bike Tyson AKA
@lordkelstro of The Free Nationals United Fellowship will be on the decks. Serving as the bassist for the group as his day job, he also digs in crates around the world. Building a collection like no-other, he will be debuting some of his best pick-ups to close the night out.
This will be an intimate listening session, tickets to the general public will be limited. Act fast on these!
