I don't have many words to give other than I feel so useless halfway across the world watching this daily massacre unfold on my phone. Last night, @kamalaharris ' speech broke me. I was hoping, holding my breath, that the last day of the #dnc will finally bring that vital change. But Harris proved that money will always outweigh the lives of innocent men, women, children and newborn babies. I have reached into the depths of my own heart, to wish everyone facilitating this g*nocide, nothing but utter misery for the rest of your days. And when the time comes when you finally breathe your last, I hope the screams of the innocent being massacred are chained to your very rotten soul to ensure you will never forget what you have done. "Little Hero of Time” Swipe to see detail shots, a video of the process and William’s piece that this is a master copy of. Finally managed to finish this piece I started in October. Been working on it on and off since and finished it in the early hours of this morning. William’s works have been a big source of inspiration for me so I finally decided to create a “master copy” but with a twist because my attention span is awful 😂 It was really interesting to sort of attempt to piece together how William created his works just through looking at his sketches, his unfinished pieces etc so I tried my best in attempting to apply his methods to my digital medium. A lot trickier than one might expect lol So here’s little Link, the Hero of Time from the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. One of my all time fave games. "My Kind of Throne REMAKE” Project currently named; "Fallen: Born Through Sin" First piece finished using my new tablet. A remake of an older piece which you can still find on my profile or swipe and see a smaller scale version of it here. Really trying to lean more into my inspirations of the old masters’ works. Mostly Caravaggio and Bouguereau as I love how both of them capture skin and lighting. Since I finally got to an art gallery and had the honour of seeing one of Caravaggio’s pieces in person, I’m being extra careful on limiting myself with crazy brush strokes and remembering to keep telling myself “although my work is digital, I’m trying to mimic traditional” which is honestly a lot harder than I had originally thought lol I I think this is the closest I’ve gotten to it so far so here is my character Raven, being kinda gross, with a bunch of ravens surrounding him. Simple stuff. All was done in Photoshop CS 6. Coincidentally, this piece took more or less the same time to create as the original. Like a lot of people around the world, I fell in love with Squid Game back when season 1 released. And like a lot of artists, I start and stop things. This piece was originally started back in 2021, abandoned, season 2 of Squid Game came out and my love for it was rekindled. So I finally finished this piece the other day. Through the wip video, I labelled the time jump, not that you would need an indicator anyway, that visual jump alone is pretty obvious I feel 💀 I've gotten much better at drawing, creating my own brushes that fit the style I want to emulate better and I feel this drawing reflects the direction my works are heading in, in general. At long last, I finally got the courage to build my first cosplay prop! And oh boy, did I pick a real easy one! /s 😬 I fell in love with Lies of P last year and I so dearly wanted to put that love into something a bit more tangible than my digital work, so I did my best and created Carlo's puppet arm. I started a bit too close to the convention, so I ran into a lot of issues such as the shirt just being thrown together as well as the bottom half of the cosplay, but I figured the arm would only need to be the star of the show anyway. And it was! I've learned so much from this rather chaotic three month journey I think it was, and cannot wait to get creating another version of Carlo, (which I'm still currently sketching.) I've got a year to plan for my first MCM in London next year so we'll see how that goes. Also, a big thanks to the foam god @jericho.cs for all of your solid advice when putting this thing together. Without you, I wouldn't have even tried. You're such an inspiration, bro 🫡❤️ The first amazing shot was taken by @la_picphotos , one of the lovely photographers with the Q-Con convention in Belfast earlier this month and honestly I'm still in awe that's me. Had an insane time in Dublin at the 3Arena seeing Bring Me The Horizon for the first time live. The visuals alone were the craziest I’ve ever seen at a concert so here’s one of the many highlights of my night. 𝙎𝙋𝙊𝙄𝙇𝙀𝙍𝙎 𝘽𝙀𝙇𝙊𝙒 “Portrait of a Human Boy” What can I say about this amazing game I haven’t already? So I’ll try my best to keep it short. Lies of P and Baldur’s Gate 3 are hand in hand my games of the year. I absolutely love very human stories being told through an “inhuman” lens. There’s something about beings which aren’t inherently human, figuring the world out around them whilst coming to terms with themselves and their own place in the world. DmC: Devil May Cry is another one of those games I feel does a great job playing around with that theme. I guess being trans - there’s always that little shard of isolation buried in me. Something that will always unintentionally separate myself from “regular” people. That little thing that will forever make me feel a bit more alien than the rest. So playing as characters - wether done intentionally or not, stumbling upon those sorts of confusing feelings, frustrating ones even, hits a very personal spot for me, and Lies of P tells such a beautifully human story. That’s not even mentioning just how amazing the gameplay, music and overall look of the game is. I don’t think I dislike a single character either as they were all so well done. Well, I may hate a certain someone for being the worst dad of the century, but I love to hate him 😂 Lies of P had me in tears and guessing every step of the way what the next twist would be and I cannot wait for the DLC. Thank you Round8 Studio and @neowiz_official for such a phenomenal, lovable game.
