PR guru and amateur comedian Lora Doyle returns from Cannes following a financially devastating but spiritually enriching trip.
Joined by long-time collaborators Micaela Ventura, Leah Mahon and Eden Purcell, the group expanded to include Leah O’Neill, Jade Reidy, Christine Villa and Lee Bennett, forming what witnesses described as “a logistical nightmare but socially elite unit”.
The trip, organised for Leah Mahon’s 30th birthday, quickly descended into chaos, with over 60 percent reportedly bankrupted after aggressively tackling the Cannes nightlife scene and being denied casino entry due to high levels of intoxication.
Tensions peaked Saturday, with reports of two verbal attacks against Doyle and Purcell after failing to speak French to locals, followed by a beach day despite any sunlight where the group shivered in bikinis while being laughed at by locals.
Dinner at Le Mome delivered “fun, frolics and giggles”, ending in a mysterious napkin-related incident, before a 6am trauma-dumping session left two members gagging through a perfume class hours later.
The trip concluded with a failed street entertainment dance in hopes of securing financial recovery around Doyle’s open handbag.
“We came, we saw, we absolutely rinsed our bank accounts,” Doyle said. “You can’t put a price on memories, although we did try, and failed.”

PR guru and infamous messer Lora Doyle spotted causing carnage in Barcelona and Malta
After years of whisperings that she may in fact be allergic to annual leave, PR professional and world-renowned messer Lora Doyle has officially taken time off — and the world is reeling.
Her holiday began in Barcelona, where she reunited with long-time friend Emer O’Toole for three days of unapologetic mischief, laughter, and questionable decision-making.
From there, Doyle headed to Malta, where she joined forces with Micaela Ventura, Eden Purcell, and Leah Mahon for four unforgettable days. Highlights included a sun-soaked trip to the iconic Blue Lagoon, endless giggles, and the unexplainable gravitational pull of the Cheeky Monkies bar — which the group claims to despise, but nevertheless visited daily.
“I can’t explain it. Every evening, no matter where we were, it felt like an invisible string dragged us back to that bar. We literally hated the fucking place,” said Doyle, reflecting on her adventures.
As of October, Lora still has 15 days of annual leave remaining — a fact both exciting and slightly concerning for her colleagues.
The press office can confirm: she did, in fact, have a laugh.
