🌼 ASTRID the Gerbera Daisy pattern test 🌼 This stunning little piece is part of Cecilia’s | @irissesile newest 3-in-1 bundle of delicate flowers - Everbloom 🌸. The pattern is officially out, and it’s a must. Astrid🌼also comes along with the other two sisters: Rose-Marie the Garden Rose🌹 and Soliv the Daffodil🏵 As always, I’m in awe of Cecilia’s talent and eye for detail. She has such a beautiful way of capturing each flower’s unique character and bringing out all those delicate, life-inspired details in her patterns.🤍 My original idea for her colors was different, but I couldn’t resist making her yellow. There’s something about yellow and white flowers that are grabbing my attention every-single-time☺️! Also, did you know a gerbera daisy is more closely genetically related to a sunflower than to a true daisy? Gerbera daisies, sunflowers, and true daisies are all part of the same plant family - Asteraceae, but they belong to different branches within it. 🐏 Zottel the Z̶o̶m̶b̶i̶e̶ Cotton Candy Sheep pattern test 🐑🍬 The fluffy baby sheep was a test piece for my incredibly talented friend @knotted.angels 🥹. Zottel is literally the fluffiest sheep you’ll ever see! He’s so textured, and touching him feels amazing 😂. I’m obsessed with textures, they’re both eye candy and such a sensory delight for me (maybe that’s a professional flaw 🤭). Once again, Angelina has completely outdone herself with this one. The moment I saw Zottel’s reveal, I instantly thought of cotton candy and that idea has lived rent-free in my mind ever since. So of course, I had to bring that vision to life and create this sweet version of Zottel with a bubbly, candy-inspired personality 🥹🍬. The pattern uses a really interesting stitch and technique to achieve that fluffy texture. It might be a bit of a challenge at first, but once you get the hang of it, it works up surprisingly fast and it’s so worth!🥰 Every time I think I’ve found my new favorite among Angelina’s chubby babies, she amazes me with another one, so be sure to check out Zottel and her work. 🐦‍🔥 Lingering Sunset Mini É m b r y s - pattern test 🐦‍🔥 Cannot express how grateful and happy I am to have had the chance, not once but twice, to be part of Bea’s | @embersofalize test group, first for the OG Èmbrys and now for Mini Émbrys. 🥹🫶 If last time, for the OG Èmbrys, I chose colours inspired from my love for the Northern Lights, this time, I still took inspiration from the sky. Somehow I always go back to the same source, it sits deeply rooted in my love for Iceland. While Iceland’s night sky gets a lot of love, the slow-fading winter sunsets there are just as breathtaking and otherworldly, their colours change and reshape the landscape minute by minute. Lingering Sunset Mini Émbrys was inspired by the winter sunsets - that quiet moment of rest before renewal, when fading light promises its return, just like a phoenix rising. The Mini might be smaller in size, but she’s just as mighty, equally intimidating (at first), and every bit as detailed as the OG. Everything is perfectly twisted for her petite, adorable size. 🙉 Maisie the Monkey 🙈🍌 pattern test I had the absolute pleasure of testing for my sweet and kind friend Jenny | @jennyloopydo . I’ll never get tired of testing for her! Her patterns are always amazing, detailed, and incredibly cute. Of course, I couldn’t resist giving this baby some accessories too 🤭, it’s become a habit at this point. I’ve said it before, but this palm-sized collection is hands down one of my all-time favorites. Jenny has truly mastered these little babies, they’re the perfect size, quick to make, and beyond adorable. ​🦙 Peanut the Alpaca 🦙 ​I had the absolute blast taking part in @sprinkleofcrochet ’s Farm Friends CAL! I’ve wanted to make my own Peanut since this baby was released. 🥹 This is hands-down the cutest alpaca pattern ever, and I’m so glad I pushed myself to join.🤍 ​Fitting pattern tests into my messy schedule is already challanging enough, so I tend to skip CALs unless the timeframe is super generous, reason I’m super happy the time was on my side this one. 🥳 ​Needless to say, the pattern is incredibly thorough, and Sarah did an amazing job explaining every single step. It’s low-sew and works up so fast! 🌙 MOTHELIA the Moth-Fairy pattern test 🌙 Baby Mothelia is one of my latest tests for my super talented friend Angelina | @knotted.angels 🥹. The moment I saw her reveal, I instantly knew I had to make her. Because moths are nocturnal creatures and I’ve always loved night-inspired colors, I couldn’t resist bringing that vision to life. 🥰🫶 She’s is one of my favorite makes to date. I just love every little detail on her - from her delicate body and tiny arms to the clever, stylish twist of her wings and that adorable bonnet. The whole design has such a delicate, chibi charm to it. ✨ The pattern is intermediate level, very thoroughly explained, and includes lots of helpful photos and videos to guide you along the way. 🐭 Mushroom the Mouse 🐭 The special tiny baby - Mushroom, was one of my latest tests for the incredibly talented Ristynn | @keepingcreatures . 🥰 Ristynn has done such an outstanding job designing Mushroom! 🥹 She’s honestly the cutest little mouse pattern I’ve ever seen, the pointy nose, tiny face, and those big lowered ears are just perfect. She has exactly the look I’ve always loved in a mouse and she quickly became one of my all-time favorite makes😍. The pattern is completely no-sew, with just a tiny bit of tucking for the ears at the end, so it comes together really quickly. The pattern has been out for a while now, but my 2-weeks trip put me quite behind on posting. Not surprising, I generally don’t like to rush posts just to get them done. 🐰 Snugglebun the Bunny - Tester CAL🐇 Snugglebun is a very special project I had the joy to make during the very fun and chaotic tester CAL🤭 hosted by the talented Clarissa | @boulette.et.cie 🤍 I’m obsessed with Snugglebun's relaxed laying position, the perfectly shaped tail, and that sweet upward gaze that gives it such a gentle, almost royal charm. It really reminds me of her Sally the Seal pattern, one of my all-time favorites. 🫶 There are two tail options to choose from, and the head placement is very forgiving since it’s sewn on, giving you plenty of room to get creative with the final look. I’m a little late sharing my Snugglebun post - I’m currently traveling for the next two weeks, and this past weekend was a bit of a whirlwind. I’m sure many of you have already seen the adorable Snugglebun parade hopping across your feeds! 🪼Punctata - the White-Spotted Jellyfish CAL 🪼 To celebrate the two-year anniversary since the release of her first pattern, Inês updated her Spotted Jellyfish with a simpler version that is even quicker to make. I made two of the OG ones some time ago, as the pattern had been on my to-do list for the longest time. 🫧 Bobbles the Butterfly pattern test 🦋 For my 2-year anniversary of my crochet journey, I had the chance to work on a very beautiful test - Bobbles the Butterfly🦋, designed by the very talented Sara @sweet.little.buddies . Bobbles is such a stunning design, especially the wings, which are beautifully designed and even mirrored! I always think about how much work goes into mirroring parts like this, and I’m always impressed when designers aim for that level of perfection. 🥰 The wings are actually similar to a granny square. I had never made one before, so this was a great opportunity for growth. I always enjoy learning new tricks or techniques while testing patterns, it’s one of the reasons I love doing it so much. Of course, I had to make mine blue it’s my favorite color. It was also the perfect opportunity to use one of the pretty new Mini Color shades of Alize Velluto.🤩 The pattern works up pretty quickly once you get the hang of the wings. After making the first one, the second one will come together so fast. And don’t worry, Sara has you covered with helpful videos to guide you through that part. MaMake sure you grab your copy! 🐾 Fayza the Fennec Fox pattern test 🦊 So excited to share my latest test - Fayza, the most adorable snuggly fennec. 🦊✨ She was a test for the talented Lexi from @stitch_and_snuggle_crochet . She works up super quickly! The only thing you might need to sew is a little reinforcement for the ears, but the pattern is completely no-sew and comes with three different head accessories that will absolutely steal your heart. 🥹 She definitely stole mine.
