Thank you everyone for an amazing Mother's Day weekend! Super appreciative of all your support for my weird mushroom creations! *Skip to bottom of post for my next market dates. Today at @beaconfarmersmarket was our best sales this year. I made a lot more this week and stayed up till midnight wrapping gift sets :) and we sold out of candied shiitake chocolate chips and lionsmane shortbread! The weather was perfect, and I loved chating with everyone that stopped by. There was so many amazing moms and families, you all are so cute! ❤️ Yesterday at @yaymarkets was also phenomenal despite the cloudy rainy day. Thank you to everyone that showed up to support! First half was not rainy and gift sets were super popular, we sold 11! Loved hanging with all the vendors and catching up with old and new friends. Vending next to @madamesusansauces was the best, we even got bonus Max the husky pics! We also ate soo much good food thanks to @springrollsupperclub her gluten free options are insanely good. I will be taking a break these next 5 weeks from markets. I am off to Ohio to work with an amazing book and paper artists @amanda_love_atelier Please check out her stunning work on her profile. She does with books what I do with mushrooms, it will surprise and delight you :). I will be back June 14. I can start taking pre-orders June 15. Another double market weekend coming up! Excited to announce a brand new market: This Saturday 5/2 I will be at @hudsonvalleyopenmarket 10am to 3pm in New Paltz Middle School parking lot This is also opening day for their market! Hello friends! I will be back this Sunday @beaconfarmersmarket from 10am to 2pm with more mushroom treats! Special for just this Sunday I will have a small quantity of coconut-free lionsmane shortbread and oyster mushroom thumbprints using real butter instead of plant butter. A lovely customer Daria last week really wanted to try my desserts but is allergic to coconut, so just for her I have made a few coconut free versions. So if anyone else has a coconut allergy or just wants to try these cookies with actual dairy butter please let me know and i'll grab them for you :). It is 100% Vegan, made with Belgian dark chocolate and local rye flour from Milestone Mill. A perfect pairing to Roz's high quality coffees. Note for my celiac friends: this cookie does contain gluten and is made in a seperate kitchen (my home kitchen) from my regular gluten free products to avoid an cross contamination with what I sell at the farmers markets. All my gluten free products are made in a rental kitchen at @earthtonefarm . Hello friends! I will be vending this amazing folk music event, Folk & Freeky, in Peekskill Saturday evening April 4th held by Freekskill & Stark Vintage! Folk & Freeky 7pm to 10pm at 925 South St. Peekskill I will be making special cookies and brownies exclusively for this event, just a little different from my standard farmers market menu. Love catching up with everyone, and geeking out over food and foraging! ❤️🍄 We sold out of Oyster Mushroom Thumbprints and Candied Shiitake Miso Chocolate Chip! And extra thank you to all my vendor friends for the food and keeping us fueled and awake for the market: - are go-to breakfast order of chicken and sticky rice and coconut mochi from @sitsirya.ny - taste just like my mom's steamed buns with cucumber salad from @hao.bao.now our favorite was the chicken. - healing and tasty gluten free and vegan oatmeal tumeric latte from @the.herbal.scoop especially helpful on the throat after so much talking - picked up more tea from @teaday.tea since I went through 2 bags in 3 weeks, I always have her peachy keen tea in my big mushroom thermos at every market I vend lately. - winter squash mochi with pecan tastes just like southern sticky pecan rolls @happybellyhudson and I always admire their gluten free and vegan baking skills! - @sterling_bake_shop had gluten free vegan chocolate cookies made from chickpeas that didn't taste like chickpeas and had great fudge texture. We also got a pizza for home (pic above), which yes will hurt me cause gluten and dairy but I'm off tomorrow so #yolo, 100% worth the pain, tasted like fluffy foccacia. Sometimes we need a cheat day. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and gets some rest! Saturday March 28 in Tarrytown @thetashfm 9am to 12:30pm Indoors at the John Paulding School Sunday March 29 in Beacon @beaconfarmersmarket 10am to 2pm Outdoors in the DMV parking lot For all my vegan friends that have been wanting the shiitake chocolate chip cookies, but couldn't have it cause of the egg: after many months of experimenting, I successfully manage to make my candied shiitake chocolate chip cookies Vegan! I will have my new recipe this weekend. I would love any feedback so please stop by for a taste. Thank you @hudson_valley_breads for grabbing me the information and samples from the pastry show you attended that was a huge turning point in making this cookie vegan! I will have some just for you, so we can geek out over the food science :).

Had our first ever Maker's Swap this past friday night at @silicastudio845 We shared so much amazing art, food, and plants! Silica even let us have a little impromptu paint your own pottery. @thirdbeanchocolate brought vegan and gluten free tahini gelato which she combined with @thisbretthall ginger beer to make the most refreshing ginger beer floats! We had an array of tasty snacks: sesame parsley hummus, blackberry coconut thai tea, turmeric orange ginger kefir mocktails, chicken wheat berry salad. Was a great space to share our experiments and get feedback and get inspiration. Our Swaps: - @greetings_from_rachel made little ceramic bowls, with a special mushroom one :) - I made vegan chcocolate chip cookies in gluten free or rye flour, and vintage bracelets. - @middleearthmicrogreens had seed kits with a baby pathos. - @thirdbeanchocolate brought no refined sugar vegan gluten-free chocolate and bon bons - @thisbretthall made ginger beer with ginger bug starters to make your own at home Thank You everyone for making this happen despite all the craziness this week ❤️.
