New headshots because this month marks my 10 years (!!!) at @nccoalitionadv 😯 My lived experiences drew me to domestic violence work and over the past decade I’ve gotten to lead innovative housing and healthcare programs for survivors. Something I’m especially proud of is successfully pushing to change our parental leave policy to a fully paid 6 months 🥲 a benefit I myself got to enjoy when I birthed my son. My colleagues are brilliant people who care deeply about the work and each other, many of whom have been my dear friends. It’s tough out here, and I count this among my blessings. 10 years, life is weird! 🌪️

I painted these over a year ago and the genocide in Gaza continues, the humanitarian situation only more horrifying. Gaza, from infants to elders, is starving to death. Aid trucks with enough supplies to feed the entire population for 3 months sit, prevented from entering, across the border. Israeli forces are maiming and murdering Palestinians INCLUDING CHILDREN as they desperately seek food. There is no justification. There is nothing more evil than this.
