Hello world. My first ever solo song ‘Soft Light’ is out today!
It’s about letting go of things — releasing them, if you will.
Huge thank you to Rhi, Luke and Guy for sprinkling their magic on it. And to @charlotteabroms for the sage advice/support and the team at @gyro.music making the cogs turn.
And massive shout to everyone who’s heard my unfinished demos on bluetooth speakers on glass tables late at night over the years and said, “you need to put this out.” i.e. everyone i know and love.

Hello, Dom here. I’ve put together a bunch of songs I’ve been slowly working on over the past few years into a solo project I’m calling ‘Longing’.
‘Longing’ because that’s how the music sounds to me and also because (as some of you have pointed out all the time and yes, thank you) I am a long man and I long all the time.
See? It works both ways.
Anyway. I’m going to start putting it out in the new year but until then the wonderful @fourinthemorningmusic have asked me to open their show at @baddecisionsbar followed by the brilliant @officiallytig in Fitzroy on Sunday Nov 30th. I think this is, in fact, a good decision.
I put a little sneak peak of a song in here too. Because releasing music requires patience and I will be patient but just a little bit is ok.
And how good is that Hillvale booth? 3 press pics for $8? Yes please.
