a solo piano project by me .
somewhat forced to learned piano when i was a yute but nigerian teachers never taught me how to make my own shit & i wasn’t fw that nigga Wolfgang’s sonatas, so i lost interest fast cause i don’t do covers. To me, it defeats the purpose. Fast forward, i copped a keyboard a year ago from a friend & same day, i just slowly started coming up with melodies that somehow suit the different ways i’ve continued to grow. while making these, thoughts flood about change, familiarity,repetition & stagnancy. especially after i discipline myself to practice weekly. shit also felt like i’ve given back to my younger self that once struggled with all that conformity. hence the title.
i still don’t claim pianist cause i still can’t name a single chord from any of these songs but i hope i struck one sha.🫵

not a pianist whatsoever but i’ve been slowly coming up with original tunes on the piano since i copped a keyboard last summer . i just press random keys til it makes sense & then repeat . got a few more tunes i plan to drop soon . some slow burn loopy shit to feel full/empty to .

These are some of the shit ton of beats we made along 2022. these beats reflect on the productive days/convos we had.
A pivotal moment was when @_.ghxstkey_ got into a bad car accident and nearly met death but this man bounced tf back with the fastest recovery i’ve ever seen. Wasn’t gonna stop us from continuing where we left off so we literally hotboxed the hospital (with za pens) and made the last beat in his hospital room . Crazy year .
