Lonestar Projects is proud to present “At The Heart of The Terminal”, a solo exhibition and Los Angeles debut by LA based artist Aaron Chang. @scuffedleg
Chang’s technical and elaborate work sucks the viewer into a vast, loud, and meditative space. It’s also simply insane to look at. These two-dimensional works speak to his deeply layered emotional landscapes. His obsessive lines follow the paths of memory; they seek answers, discover violence, innocence, god, machine, medicine, binaries.
A feeling of awe is common when looking at Chang’s work. They’re technical feats, of course. But their vulnerability is humbling, maybe sobering too. Personally, they remind me to call my family more often.
