📣 CALL OUT 📣 LOOKING FOR TRANS FUNDRAISING EVENT ORGANISERS @queerloveco and I are organising an exciting event!! TUESDAY 16th JUNE @secondhome_io CONCEPT Every time I open instagram I see fundraisers for Trans people who need the money for their healthcare; whether for gender affirming care, support through sickness or disability aids not provided by the NHS. There is clearly a huge problem within our community in terms of access to healthcare, waiting lists are dangerously long and very few of us have funds to pay for healthcare privately. This panel will be a discussion about this issue and the growing trend of fundraiser events organised to pay for trans healthcare. PRESS We want to use this coming together of fundraising event organisers as a way to get press for our events - it’s more likely to get an article written about ‘what queers in London are doing’ vs about one event - so we are teaming up to send out press releases that are more likely to get traction so we can all meet our fundraising goals. PHOTOSHOOT We will be doing a photoshoot of trans event organisers that fundraise for trans healthcare through their events. This is for promotion, for sending in press releases, for celebrating us and our hard work. Welcome Table. This is your hub for: • access support • directions • quietest times • large-print info • volunteers who can help you get around 2️⃣ Step-Free Access The lift is right by the entrance. It connects the lower level (red) and upper level (green/yellow). Ask staff, volunteers or the LQM team (wearing high vis harnesses) if you need guidance or support navigating between floors. 3️⃣ Toilets Toilets on both levels. If you need accessible facilities, ask the Welcome Table to point you to the nearest accessible loo. 4️⃣ Quiet Room (8) Need a break? Head to the Quiet Room on the upper level. A low-sensory, calm space for anyone who needs it. Note: workshops run here at 1–3pm & 4–6pm. 5️⃣ Stalls & Spaces Lower level: Café (3), Service Stalls (4), Art Stalls (5).
