After the severe hail storm event which passed through the area in November 2025, this tiled roof sustained significant damage. Multiple attempts were made to prevent water ingress, however the roof continued to leak during rain.
Lomcon were engaged to complete a full roof @makesafetarping system to this 550m2 roof to prevent further water entry until roof repairs can be completed and ensure the house remains leak free and habitable.

LOMCON were engaged to tarp this 40° roof section surrounding a dormer window following multiple unsuccessful repair attempts by others. With ongoing water ingress present and forecasted rainfall, immediate action was required but on a roof this steep, safety is non-negotiable.
Before any tarping works commenced, our team implemented full fall protection measures including harness systems and certified anchor points. Temporary roof supports were also constructed on the roof to provide a stable and secure working platform around the dormer area to ensure the tarp was secured and water tight.
With safety controls in place, a @makesafetarping system was installed to ensure the property remains fully water-tight until permanent rectification works can be completed.
When it comes to steep access roofs, it’s not just about stopping the leak, it’s about doing it safely, correctly, and without creating further risk.

After multiple failed attempts by others to keep this roof watertight following the November hailstorm, LOMCON were engaged to step in and deliver an effective make safe solution that will ensure no further leaks occur until permanent repairs can be completed.
Using @makesafetarping , the roof has now been fully secured to prevent further water ingress while permanent repairs are being arranged.

Following the significant hail storm event that passed through the area in November 2025, LOMCON was engaged to undertake comprehensive roof inspections and reporting across the entire campus.
Our team completed inspections across all Primary and Secondary buildings, including multipurpose and ancillary structures equating to approximately 6,500m² of roof area assessed.
Scope Included: • All teaching blocks (Primary & Secondary) • Multi-purpose facilities • Ancillary buildings • Full roof condition and storm impact assessment
All inspections were completed in accordance with applicable Workplace Health & Safety requirements and the college’s site-specific safety protocols.
To minimise disruption to the school’s operations and ensure the safety of students and staff, the works were scheduled and delivered over the weekend, allowing controlled access across the live campus environment.
Each roof area was assessed under our structured, insurer-aligned reporting framework, documenting:
- Overall roof condition
- Hail and storm-related damage
- Maintenance items
- Compliance observations
- Risk-based recommendations

From walkovers to drone inspections, access systems and condition assessments ensuring nothing is missed and every report meets insurer standards.
This week our team was called out after a driver unfortunately suffered a medical episode and crashed into the front of a brand new home, only occupied for one week.
The impact caused significant structural damage to the front of the property, compromising the safety and stability of the home.
LOMCON was engaged to:
- Demolish all damaged structural elements
- Remove surrounding compromised materials
- Prop and secure the structure
- Ensure the home remains safe and protected until repairs commence

As 2025 comes to a close and with it six months of running LOMCON full-time, I’ve taken a moment to reflect on what has truly been a mammoth year.
Back-to-back storm and CAT events, countless make-safes, roof reports, assessment reports, quotations, leak detections, late nights and early mornings… yet through it all, the team has shown unwavering commitment.
