At the beginning, it wasn’t easy. When we founded LOKI, there were no pottery studios in Zurich that truly reflected what we had in mind or had paved the way for the kind of space we wanted to create. So we decided to build it ourselves. At that time, ceramics wasn’t as popular as it is today. As former clients, we often felt that pottery was something quite exclusive, mostly for people who were deeply serious about it. But we wanted to create something more accessible. Something open to everyone, focused not only on the craft itself but also on its benefits and therapeutic side. We envisioned a place where clay could help people slow down, reconnect with themselves, and find more balance in their stressful lives. And that is LOKI today. In the past four years, LOKI has grown so much. We started as just the two of us, and today we are a team of 15 amazing people. It still feels incredible to say that. Beyond the hard work, what really made the difference is that we never gave up when things got hard. Our strength has always been, the fact that as co-founders we are deeply aligned in our values, our respect for each other, our dreams, and our mutual trust.
