👸🏽Happy International Women’s Day!💃🏾 We’re taking a look back at our theme for FestForums 2026: “Celebrating Women in the Festival Industry.” In honor of the amazing leaders that make the festival industry so successful, this week we’re going to be highlighting some words of wisdom that we got from our panelists.
Here’s Lisa Ogdie (@logdie ) - from the Sundance Institute (@sundanceorg ) - on the importance of networking and reaching out!

It really is hard to articulate what Sundance has meant to me. I started as a volunteer in 2006 and fell in love with the community and spirit. I’ve worked there ever since. I’ve made lifelong friends, seen life-changing films and the Festival has had a profound impact on both my personal and professional life. Sundance is truly a magical place that transcends physical location and as we close this chapter in Park City I’m reminded of the great Celine Dion…our hearts will go on.
I have some notes for 2025, but there were some bright spots.
1. VistaVision is better with friends!
2. December in Copenhagen
3. Radiohead
4. Oasis at the Rose Bowl
5. London
6. Oasis at Wembley Stadium
7. Venice
8. Bourse de Commerce
9. Paris
10. Proof of Life
Thanks for the fun times, TIFF! Saw many films, many lovely people and even got on a boat to see the islands and some Canadian wildlife. Highly recommend!
Spent last week in beautiful Berlin with @cicaeartcinema learning about the current international exhibition landscape and making so many new friends…even saw a couple of locals while I was there. Such a fantastic program!
Calling it quits on 2023. Saw so many great films I couldn’t keep my list to just 10 this year. Also, kudos to the top notch canine performers in a number of these titles!
The Sundance short film lineup is here!! Firstly, thank you to all the filmmakers who submitted. You all poured your hearts and souls into over 12,000 submissions and we truly couldn’t be more appreciative of your passion. Long live short form content! Link in bio for all the details on the program.
