We are proud to announce that our film, I’m Still Here, will make its official premiere at Sidewalk Film Festival this month in Birmingham.
Between 1947 and 1967, Black-owned homes in Birmingham were bombed over 50 times. Attacks occurred so frequently on Center Street that it became known as Dynamite Hill. I’m Still Here tells the story three people who lived this history as children and elected to stay in Birmingham to try and turn the city’s struggles with civil rights into a symbol for hope.

The path of creative pursuits is circuitous, deceptive, and often entirely missing until a relentless artist comes along to somehow conjure it with their work. ‘To Be Enjoyed’ is a poignant exploration of the same proposition by employing the deeply inspiring story of Thad Cockrell, a gifted musician and articulate protagonist. I love pushing the sensor on the Red Gemini. We filmed this scene just as the sun set with all natural light. So we had the aperture wide open on the Angenieux 30mm-90mm and the rest was up to the Gemini’s sensor.
