“Last month, our team had the opportunity to host a women in trades evening; putting a spotlight on CNC manufacturing and our female students in EDIT💡 💻 🔩
The event was lead by our senior #girlsinSTEM students, hosting over 20 grade 9 girls within our EDIT program for an evening of design, fabrication and fun 🔨⚙️
The evening started with a quick tutorial on CNC tool path generation using @adskfusion software and quickly transitioned to students creating custom cutouts on their very own CNCd butcher block jewellery tray 💎 💍
The night concluded with dinner and a discussion panel led by our female mentors, chatting with students and alumni about the impact @first_official_ Robotics and the EDIT Program had on their high school journeys 🧭

“Lo-Ellen Robotics concluded the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition season in two weekends ago at the Ontario District Championship in Niagara Falls, Ontario🗓️ 🍁
4069 participated in the stacked Science division, seeding 10th overall after the qualification rounds. The team captained the 7th alliance along with @firstteam1305 and @gwssrobotics in the elimination rounds 🧊 ⚡️
Lo-Ellen Robotics proudly took home the provincial Team Sustainability Award recognizing our EDIT educational program and DARTS leadership pipeline 🧭 🎯
A special congratulations goes out to Dane Gibeault who was awarded the FIRST Canada Indigenous Scholarship Award and to Jessica Abbott who was recognized as a FIRST Canada Canadian Women in STEM Scholarship Finalist. We are proud of you!
The @genehaasfoundation 2026 REBUILT season has been 4069’s most successful season yet, statistically finishing in the 92nd percentile worldwide and qualifying for the FIRST Championship for a fourth consecutive year! 🇨🇦 🌏

“It was a bit of a full circle moment this past weekend in the EDIT Lab as @firstteam1305 made the trip westward to join us at our shop in Sudbury! 🔄
We were able to give their team a tour of our build spaces and provide an overview of @firstcanada_official educational programs at Lo-Ellen 📍
Perhaps most importantly, our teams had the chance to practice with one another in preparation for the Ontario Distrtict Chapionship happening in a few short days 🏆
Thanks to 1305 for making the trip and we are looking forward to reconnecting again at Provincials 🌊 “

“Two-thirds of our FIRST Impact presentation team, Maddie and McKenna have been guiding Lo-Ellen Robotics to new heights this REBUILT @firstroboticscanada season 🚀
Acting as our senior Reach leads in our EDIT program; Maddie and McKenna have been instrumental in guiding the business and outreach teams throughout the 2026 season 🆕
Over the last four years, Maddie has developed her business acumen through EDIT; helping our team secure key sponsorships and community partnerships for our FIRST program. She has taken the lead inspiring the next gen of #girlsinSTEM through the organization of a CNC workshop for all of our grade 9 female students 🤝 👩💼
McKenna has also been a team cornerstone; drafting essays and important documentation; helping to lead our presentation team to our third ever Engineering Inspiration Award. McKenna has been instrumental working with junior students through her FIRST Tech Challenge mentorship; helping our junior students with presentations and team outreach in FTC 🗺️ 🔥

“Last weekend, 4069 had the pleasure of competing at the @georgiancollege District Competition in Barrie, Ontario for our second qualifying event of the REBUILT season 🔨
After qualifications, Lo-Ellen Robotics seeded 5th overall and was selected by the 3rd alliance captain @firstteam1305 to join @grizzly_gears9580 to form a northern alliance 🥶⚙️
It was the first time since our rookie season partnering with @firstteam1305 and we couldn’t be happier with how events unfolded. Our alliance narrowly missed out on finals; finishing in third place at the tourney! 🥉
At the conclusion of the event, the team took home the sustainability award recognizing the efforts of our internal DARTS program development system 🎯
A highlight of the tourney was teaming up with 7558 and 6110 to secure the event high score with a total of 538 points in our qualification match together☝️
4069 is currently ranked 11th in the Ontario District and we are looking to carry the momentum into Provincial champs in just over one weeks time in Niagara Falls 🏆 🌊”

“Lo-Ellen Robotics kicked off their 2026 @firstcanada_official REBUILT presented by @genehaasfoundation competition season this past weekend at @humberpoly in Toronto, Ontario 🦅
It was the season debut for our latest robot, Tarvos, continuing the long-standing tradition of naming our robots after the moons of Saturn 🪐
4069 finished in 8th place after qualifications showing steady improvement throughout the competition. Lo-Ellen Robotics captained the 5th alliance with @frc1360@team854 making it all the way to semi-finals in a deep field of competitors at the tourney 🐂 🏗️ 🏗️ 🏗️
Lo-Ellen Robotics took home the Engineering Inspiration Award presented by @spacex recognizing the EDIT program commitment to engineering innovation and educational outreach in our community. A special shoutout to our presentation team who worked overtime over the last two weeks preparing for judging 🧭 🦾
The first competition of the season is always a bit frenetic but we are always amazed at how much learning and growth happens over a short period of time. We are super proud of our design, automation, reach, trades and strategy teams who worked together seamlessly throughout the competition. We can’t wait for our next event in just over one week. Let’s keep the momentum going! 📈💯”

“Meshing together better than a set of helical gears dimensioned with a perfect pitch diameter, Dane and Leticia have been grinding out parts, prototypes and patience this FIRST Rebuilt season ⚙️ ⚙️
Our defacto Design and Trades leads this FRC build season, Dane and Leticia have been integral to the development of both our robot and our EDIT program the last three plus years 🔄
Dane has taken charge of our CNC machining processes fabricating high quality parts for the last 8 weeks while teaching students about build quality and manufacturing standards. Dane also supported @lep.team.pearl design practices in their FTC season 🧋
Letícia has been integral to the prototyping process, designing parts, organizing students, making fabrication schedules and overall being a really good person in the lab to all of our junior students. We appreciate the time Letícia takes to support all teams in our lab and teach younger students the fundamentals of Gracious Professionalism through her leadership 🙌
We are excited to unveil our latest and greatest creation Thursday at our week 2 event and it couldn’t have been done without these two! 2️⃣ “

“Last weekend, Lo-Ellen Robotics took a side quest to the @firstcanada_official FIRST Tech Challenge Provincials Championships in St. Catharines, Ontario for the finale to our DECODE season 🔐
Two of our Lo-Ellen EDIT teams had the opportunity to compete with the best in Ontario and we couldn’t be more proud of their performances at the competition 🎮
@lep.edit.orange.22310 took home the Provincial Design Award and qualified for Premier Event advancement 🍊
Also, @lep.20105 showed a strong overall outing finishing in 12th place overall after quals 🦈
We are super proud of Lia Paille who took home the first FIRST Leadership Finalist Award in Ontario and will represent Lo-Ellen Robotics on the world stage 🌎
A special shoutout to our senior Reach Lead @mmende._ who organized the pits and helped the junior teams with their presentations at the competition. We are already looking forward to the next FTC season (now back to FRC!) 🧡”
