From rehearsal room to rehearsal room, this time in Lithuania!🇱🇹
It was a real pleasure to work with @sklepucini , a band that has been working incredibly hard over the past few years and continues to grow year after year.
In April, they will take part in the VOBK (Flemish Open Brass Band Championship) in Mechelen, and I’m really looking forward to hearing their final result!
The National Youth Brass Band of @vlamovzw was a great success again! The second edition was expertly led by @luc.vertommen , the team was further supported by a group of dedicated coaches, including myself, working with the cornet section. It was a super band! 🇧🇪🎺
It was an absolute pleasure to hear @rogerwebster397 again. I am incredibly proud that my students @dajo_vanwelden and @loranne_vl were given the opportunity to perform the Concertino Classico by Joseph Horovitz together with this true legend. 👏
Officially present at the Belgian Brass Band Championships with our new music publisher, @principaledition , and we’re delighted to say it has had a great start! 🎺✨
What a cool reunion it was last weekend with the members of Brassband Nuenen, our first meeting again since the solo concert back in 2015. On Sunday, all sections had the chance to work closely with the soloists of Brassband Willebroek, diving into the music with focus and plenty of good energy. 🎺
Afterwards, Brassband Willebroek took its final steps with a try-out concert in preparation for the Belgian Brass Band Championships this coming Sunday. I can’t wait! 🇧🇪
Yesterday was a wonderful day in Zutphen with @brassbandrijnmond at a concert competition organised by Muziekbond Gelderland-Flevoland. With several test pieces on the programme, the band was rewarded with an impressive 96%. 🥳 It was also great to share the stage with Belgian top musicians like Luc Vertommen, Ruben Vanveggel and Tim De Maeseneer! 🇧🇪🇳🇱

It all started on Friday with @brassbandwillebroek , performing in a tribute concert celebrating Edward Gregson. On Saturday, I finished the weekend with @provincialebrassbandgroningen , who delivered a fine performance that earned them the runner-up title! 💜💙
Gregson’s music truly keeps you on the edge of your seat as a player! Now, time to (briefly) let the focus drop! Such a great event once again! 👏✨

It was a real pleasure to perform Brassband Willebroek’s first concert in celebration of Edward Gregson’s 80th anniversary year, starting in Switzerland. 🇨🇭The programme featured the solo Before the Cross, alongside several other works we’ll perform next Friday at the gala concert of the NBK. 🇳🇱
A huge thank you to Ensemble de Cuivres La Covatte for the flawless organisation and warm hospitality. I rounded off the weekend early on Sunday with a workshop for members of Ensemble de Cuivres Jurassien B, on to next weekend! 🎶🎺
It was such a fun weekend with Brassband St.-Cecilia Leest, who spent three days by the sea at ’t Reigersnest in Koksijde! 🌊
Unfortunately, I couldn’t join for the entire trip, but that was more than made up for by the warm and enthusiastic welcome from Brassband Alsemberg during my solo concert: a jubilee edition conducted by Wim Stas. Bravo to the band! 🎉🎺 #WeAreBesson
A busy but fun weekend! After quite a trip up to Groningen, I enjoyed some great rehearsals with @provincialebrassbandgroningen as they prepare for the Dutch National Championships. The next day brought more brass fun with the Violet @bessonbrass Quartet at the anniversary concert of De Grijze Geuzen.💙💜
And to top it all off, a lively rehearsal with the ever-enthusiastic Van der Roost’s Family Brass, a perfect way to end the weekend! 🤩
