Bringing studio-level creativity into the classroom, our BA Animation students took on a brief set by Shelley Page, Head of Talent at @locksmithanimation , the studio behind That Christmas and Ron’s Gone Wrong.
Our students developed their ideas into pitches, exploring character designs, environment concepts, and visual development for original short films.

Ready…steady…bake! 🍰
Our Front of House crew hosted the Great Locksmith Animation Bake-off.
Judges Mike Redman, Matilda Braithwaite, and Nicole Hearon had some seriously hard (but delicious) decisions to make to determine the winners.
The winners for each category are as follows:
Best Taste: Elja – Dutch Apple Pie & Golden Pecan Bites
Best Presentation: Magali – Galette des Rois (King’s Cake)
Best Story: Ava – Raspberry & Amaretti Cake
Star Baker: Elja – Dutch Apple Pie & Golden Pecan Bites
Locksmith’s Darling (Public Vote): Sam O. & Donubari – Flapjacks (Sam) | Biscoff Tres Leches & Baileys Tiramisu (Donubari)
In total, there were 11 different dishes. Our lovely bakers were: Elja, Hollie, Letty, Adam, Chaitan, Donubari, Ava, and Sam O. Thank you to these amazing participants for sharing their bakes and the unique stories behind them. 🧑🍳

In our interview Vine reveals how a family road trip across the Nevada desert and a personal childhood memory of homelessness inspired his emotionally resonant story.
