There’s just two weeks left until our 21st Annual Key to the Locks Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The event begins at 10AM at the Erie Canal Discovery Center, where we will honor individuals who promote the heritage and spirit of the Erie Canal in Lockport, NY. This is followed by our Procession to the Locks with a ceremony at the Lock Tenders Tribute Monument in the Lockport Locks.
Enjoy Flight of Five Lock Demonstrations from 11AM to 1PM, with the first outdoor Lockport Community Farmers Market of the season running from 9AM to 2PM on Canal Street. Shop local produce, baked goods, honey, wine, artisan goods, and more, with live music from 11AM to 1PM at the gazebo. You won't want to miss this special morning in the city of Lockport! #lockportny
