It was a pleasant surprise to receive this in my inbox somewhat unannounced nearing to the end of my time at Nida. It was lovely. “Dear Lochie, Congratulations! You have been selected by NIDA to be the 2022 Best Design Student recipient for showing great commitment to your craft and process over the last 12 months, as a set and costume designer for both stage and screen”.  2022

A short film I worked on with Jade McElroy & Hailley Hunt to produce for a project at NIDA. Our initial idea we scrapped for “Prometheus” only weeks before actually shooting it (for the arguably better idea). The three of us collaborated together helping each other where we can to pull the whole thing together. I worked as the props master for the SFX we were doing in camera for a prop / model build. (6/6) Version 2 - We did two versions of the same concept. A moving image and one that comes alive. My middle name is Vincent… named after Vincent Van Gogh. So when we were handed this project and were told to make a portrait come to life it just clicked that I wanted to work on a Van Gogh. I managed to do a little bit of everything on this project that started to grow very close to my heart.
