This Women’s Month, together with @localhostcoffee , we sat down and talked about the real experiences of being a woman in today’s cycling scene. From what’s improved to what still needs work, the conversation reminded us that progress isn’t just individual. It’s something we build together, as a community.
Thank you sa kwentuhan, Ms. Dazzle Rivera of @fireflybrigade.ph , Ms. Teya Sabado from the Pinay Bike Commuter Community and @sasapaprika . Of course, thank you so much, Localhost Coffee & Co. friends, Camille and Iryll, for continuously advocating cycling through your business and creating space for conversations like this. 🩷🩵💛

Ohayo everyone!
On behalf of my partner, Camille, and our four legged son, Bean, we at Localhost Coffee are deeply honored to be recognized today by the mobility awards.
Being nominated was already something we held with so much gratitude, but actually being included in this year’s awardees truly humbled and floored us.
Thank you, mobility awards, for continuously recognizing individuals, groups, and businesses that help shape movement for all types. It echoes that inclusive mobility isn’t just infrastructure—it’s culture, people, and a shared responsibility.
To our Caffeine Heads who have seen us beyond coffee, thank you for spending your mornings, and the quiet pauses of your day with us. Your support, your stories, and your energy inspire us to be better, to be present, to serve, and be celebrated. You are the heartbeat of our micro corner of the city.
To our close circle, your love, patience, and encouragement keep us grounded.
To our parents, thank you for the guidance, the reminders, and the compassion that shaped who we are, and taught us how purpose, when poured into small everyday things, can make someone’s day a little bit better.
Localhost Coffee would not be here today receiving this award if not for the Happy Pedal Project. Their advocacies for bike friendly places, safer roads for cyclists, and community driven initiatives are part of the goals that shaped a more welcoming space for all of us.
This recognition encourages us to continue doing our part in building a city where movement, purpose, warmth, and good coffee come together.
Thank you. ◡̈

This may seem like the (OVER) caffeine talking, but we’re overflowing with gratitude.
To everyone who came through this weekend, whether for the coffee, cocktails, matcha, flash tattoos, music, or just to be part of the energy — THANK YOUUUUU. Marikina, you really showed up for each other.🤍
To our guest specialty coffee shops—
Resonate Coffee, Stag, BCGC, Franken, Alab, and Tahan Na Cafe, thank you for pouring your hearts into every cup and reminding us what it means to grow together, not apart.✨
To Matcha Later — Love, thank you for kicking off our celebration with that unmistakable Matcha Later magic, and for trusting us to host you!💚🤍
To Chelsi Amour aka Miss Pokes Tattoo — your hand poke flash tats were the perfect mix of intimacy and artistry. Thank you for bringing our vision to skin and soul.😘
To Takore — thank you for stirring things up with your cocktails curated especially for Localhost Coffee.🥰
To the titos and titas of MRKN TFTI — our hearts are full. Thank you for closing Nomikai with warmth, rhythm, and the essence of community that inspires us daily. You reminded us that coffee is just one of many ways we come together.😘🥹🤗
And to our Caffeine Heads— this was our first-ever event for us. We did it. Here’s to more rituals, more reasons to gather, and more ways to savor every moment.🤍🤗✨
Special shoutout:
To our dear friends at Gladiator PH, thank you for sponsoring not just one, but two of your iconic insulated multipurpose trolleys for Nomikai— everyone wants a shot at winning those beauts!
And to Sylver Restaurant & Café Supplier, thank you for supporting Nomikai with Milk Lab and Oatdside — your generosity made so many delicious moments possible.
Until the next Nomikai!🪅🤍🥳
We’re always looking forward to serving you good coffee.

“Having infrastructure to allow people to move freely on their feet or on their bikes benefits everybody.” –Raymundo De Guzman, Management, Magdamag Market Cafe; 1st Place, Bicycle-friendly Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). ☕🚲
With fuel prices climbing, more people are swapping four wheels for two. That makes the role of bicycle-friendly establishments more important than ever.
Mobility Awards 2025’s Bicycle-friendly SMEs are leading the way, creating spaces where cyclists feel welcome—from bike racks at the entrance to helmet hooks and secure parking inside.
Supporting cycling isn’t just good for customers. This is a way for businesses to show care, adapt to changing times, and strengthen their communities.

We’re riding back. 🚴♀️☕
Join us for a community ride from Wicked Coffee to @localhostcoffee in Marikina - a simple ride to celebrate movement, community, and the spaces that bring us together.
We’ll be riding with @osix.cycling guiding the route, so whether you’re a beginner or a regular rider, you’re in good hands and more than welcome to join 🫶
Just drop a 🚴♀️ in the comments and we’ll add you to a GC with all the details (route, call time, etc).
See you on the road. 💛

EDIT: Closing the comment section since we’ve reached the maximum number of participants. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 Thank you so much, and see you all soon!
We showed up for Together, She Moves,
and the road showed us something back.
The energy was there. The community was there.
But the visibility of women cyclists… Is not yet where it should be.
We hold that truth with care.
Because this is exactly why we ride.
Not just to celebrate, but to encourage, to make space,
to be seen.
We don’t shy away from the numbers;
WE MOVE TO CHANGE THEM.
To be counted, visible.
Because women too, belong on a safer, more inclusive road.
Thank you to everyone who rode with us:
familiar faces, Caffeine Heads, new friends, and allies.
To our host cities: our very own Marikina car-free,
and Quezon City car-free, special thanks to The Green Transport Division–QC DPOS, for showing up for safer, more inclusive paths.
To our partner, Happy Pedal Project:
thank you for sharing this work with us, for all the hard work you do so well with grace and grit, and for continuing to champion women’s visibility and safer roads for all.
And thank youuü to Wicked Coffee:
for the warm welcome at the finish,
with good coffee and space to gather after the ride.
We’ll keep showing up.
We’ll keep making space.
Together, She Moves.🚴♀️🤍✨
