Open Studio Tour MA:MA May 8–12 In collaboration with @mallorca.makers , and as part of the MA:MA Open Studio Tour, LOCAL A opens its space to present the work of six selected artists: @gabi.ignasi @pomeloceramicart @kamandalu.lauramicheletti @jazminluna_art @s.l.o.w_studio @m.o.z.a.i.k.o.n The MA:MA Open Studio Tour is a curated invitation into Mallorca’s creative core—revealing the studios, processes, and material languages behind each practice. It offers a direct encounter with the work: in progress, in context, and in conversation with its makers. Designed for collectors, design professionals, and interior specialists, it highlights a more private and refined side of the island - bringing together local practices across art, architecture, and interiors. Visitors gain access to unique works, prototypes, and limited editions directly from the studios. Located in the heart of Palma’s old town, LOCAL A becomes one of these points of encounter - hosting six artists within a shared space. In addition, we will host two workshops from the XTANT program on saturday sunday and monday as well as a mosaic workshop with Ruth on Sunday, May 10 at 16:30. . this is ruth. her practice is rooted in traditional mosaic techniques, shaped by years within the Italian craft tradition, and extended into a contemporary language. she works with fragments, light, reflection, and colour — where breaking and reassembling become a way of seeing. her work moves between smaller objects and larger, site-specific installations. shaped through repetition and intuitive choices, it holds a quiet lightness — a sense of joy — revealing an authentic beauty beneath the surface. she works and teaches at local a. @m.o.z.a.i.k.o.n
