We headed out with our neighbours @sula_boattrips for a coastal safari right in our backyard. From the puffins of Craigleith to the dramatic ruins of Tantallon Castle, every turn was a new “wow” moment.
The highlight? Circling the iconic Bass Rock. Seeing the lighthouse and the old prison ruins surrounded by thousands of gannets is something you never get used to. We even spotted some seals lounging.🦭
We finished the day the only way you should: at the Lobster Shack, eating fresh lobster caught in the very waters we just sailed. Huge thanks to Sula Boat Trips for the incredible tour 🦞
You ordered a dose of cute? 🐧 The Puffin delivers.
Beyond their cute “clown of the sea” looks, these little birds are tough, loyal, and incredibly unique explorers.
Want to see them for yourself? 📍 If you’re in North Berwick, you’re in luck! It’s one of the best puffin-watching spots in the UK. Grab a boat trip from the harbour to the Isle of May or Craigleith, or head to the Scottish Seabird Centre to see them via their live cameras. Just make sure to visit between April and July before they head back out to the open ocean!
