365 days around the sun with our bright little star, Stella Blue. People tell you just wait. Well, Iāll just wait until you can tell me all the wild things youāre thinking. Iāll just wait until you swim in the salty ocean for the first time. Iāll just wait until I see you run run run as far as your heart desires. You are joy. We love you š
Once in a blue moon. š On August 31, in the early morning hours after a full blue supermoon lit the night sky, our daughter, Stella Blue Rodriguez, joined us earthside four weeks early. A full moon symbolizes completion and wholeness after putting in the work towards somethingāsomething like creating a human. Rare blue moons and supermoons add a layer of innate uniqueness to the journey (did I mention four weeks early?!). It was only right to give Stella a middle name that celebrates her grand surprise arrival, which I can only describe as life-shattering. Everything is new and fragile and enormous, for all three of us. And so we begin the moonās cycle of growth again, with our Stella girl at its center.
