❤️ to @snalo_ for the AMAZING cover art, and @thisisjbs for bringing our dreams to life
It’s hard not to doubt yourself sometimes when you try to push the envelope. I started working on this track in 2021 and almost abandoned it because I thought it might be a little too weird.
When the opportunity came to work on AUGURE, I sent a few tracks without expecting this one would get selected.
But ‘too weird’ turned into ‘just right’ when the right project came along. I’d like to thank @baloji for teaching me to trust my instincts more.
“Tshala - Autopsy” is OUT NOW, off the first extract of the AUGURE soundtrack. Fingers 🤞🏾 for that Oscar win!
authenticity >> EVERYTHING
We’re so proud to share this project with the world. “somewhere, there’s something AMAZING waiting to be discovered” is out today, and it means so much to finally have it in your hands (and ears).
Here’s the video for NDOMBOLO 5000.
When two serial perfectionists let go and follow their instincts..
In just 2 days in Lagos, Alec Lomami and LMBSKN co-produced, wrote, and arranged their debut joint EP, “somewhere, there’s something AMAZING waiting to be discovered”—mostly recorded on iPhone voice notes. Sonically, the project is the duo’s self-dubbed Soukous Èlectronique, reimagining Congolese rumba, ndombolo, and gospel.
Listen to the lead single, NDOMBOLO 5000, and Presave the EP now on Apple Music.
Full EP out everywhere on Oct 14 via NO VISA & Wolf In The Hen House.

Welcome back to Artists on Artists, where we flip the script and let artists take the lead in their own interviews. In this series, each artists ask and answer each other’s questions, offering a fresh and authentic glimpse into their creative worlds. These self-guided conversations reveal the thoughts, challenges, and inspirations behind their work, giving us a closer look at how they view their art and process.
It’s a space for unfiltered introspection, where every artist sets their own stage and tells their story in their own words. For this second installment, we had Akang speak to LMBSKN about sound, storytelling and being able to create without boundaries.
About LMBSKN:
Osarumen Osamuyi, also known as LMBSKN, is a Nigerian experimental producer crafting vibrant, synth-driven soundscapes at the intersection of tradition and subversion. Influenced by the likes of William Onyeabor, Daft Punk, Aphex Twin, and Kaytranada, he blends house, bass, funk, amapiano, and afrobeats to uncover new motifs in African dance music. Osamuyi balances his left-brain precision with a deeply intuitive approach to sound—describing his life as “100% making sense of African tech; and the other 100%, making strange noises.” In 2023, he founded Wolf In The Hen House, a Lagos-based community and event series built around experimental approaches to electronic music.
Beyond the dancefloor, LMBSKN’s music expands into film and immersive storytelling. He contributed to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack as a recording engineer, with credits on Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” and Tems’ “No Woman No Cry.” He also produced original music for AUGURE, the Oscar-nominated debut by Baloji, and composed the score for Lagos At Large, a VR documentary shown at festivals in Amsterdam, Brazil, and Melbourne. His collaborative credits include Ayra Starr, Native Sound System, Lady Donli, Sylvan Esso, and Baaba Maal. LMBSKN is currently based in Lagos, working on his debut EP set to release in 2025.

‘When people think of the house scene in Nigeria, they think of raves. But to compound what we’re doing, we need to pay attention to the nuances behind the sound.’
