The ancient Roman architect, Vitruvius, summed it up nicely when he said good design should have “firmness, commodity and delight”. More reporting from Milan today. We were lucky enough to receive an invitation to take a guided tour of the Ralph Lauren Palazzo that has been styled and open to select designers. Ralph Lauren bought this building several decades ago and completely renovated everything for both his personal residence but also as a stage for runway shows and design meetings. After all, Milan is one of the great fashion capitals of Europe and hosts fashion weeks as well as home and commercial design weeks during the year. For this week, the walls were completely redone with new paneling, flooring and furnished with the newest collection for display. Our guide and associate with Ralph Lauren, Max, was wonderfully attentive and gave us the full story on the leather, the fabrics and the careful fabrication of everything we saw and it was both an informative and magical visit to this beautiful palazzo. #ralphlauren #ralphlaurenstyle #ralphlaurenpalazzo #salonemobile #milanfashionweek

That this was my kitchen! I’m here at Eurocucina in Milan and this gorgeous space by Officine Gullo alone was worth the plane ticket. Absolutely beautiful cabinets and attention to every detail. Unlimited colors as well not to mention custom colors Alessia with Officine Gullo walked us through all of the options and we hope we can see this dream come true someday. #officinegullo #italiankitchen #eurocucina

From the initial plans by @lmarchitect to the moody finishes by @claudiastimmel to the outdoor oasis by @floralis_garden_design , every detail was thoughtfully executed.

On this pool house project with Ladisic Fine Homes, we used stain-grade pecky cypress throughout — all 1x6 V-groove — to create a space that feels as natural as it looks.
“Pecky” isn’t just a look… it’s a story.
Those unique patterns come from a natural fungus that forms in cypress while it’s growing in swamp environments — creating texture you simply can’t replicate.
The result?
A warm, organic feel that brings depth and character into every inch of the space.
