The Class of 2026 GOATs were so locked in at Business Day that this recap is just now making it out of the octagon. Better late than never, right?
On Friday, Leadership Las Vegas and the UFC Performance Institute hosted Business Day and it did NOT disappoint. 🥊
We kicked things off with a deep dive into the State of the Southern Nevada Regional Economy with Danielle Casey of LVGEA, setting the stage for everything to come.
Then the UFC opened its doors (literally) for a behind-the-scenes tour led by Duncan French, Forrest Griffin, and Dr. Roman Fomin. Yes, that Forrest Griffin. The class got an inside look at what world-class performance development looks like.
From there, we talked about the future of business, from AI to industry shifts. One thing is clear: business is changing and Las Vegas is leading it.
Then came the main event: SHARK TANK. 🦈 Six teams. Six big ideas, from addressing food deserts to pet care to getting Las Vegas outside and moving.
To our chairs, co-chairs, volunteers, speakers, and sponsors, thank you for making Business Day unforgettable.
This evening, the Vegas Chamber hosted a Leadership Las Vegas Recruitment Mixer at the Legacy Club atop Circa Resort & Casino, bringing together alumni, current class members, and prospective participants for an unforgettable night overlooking the city.
For 40 years, Leadership Las Vegas has been a game-changing program, connecting more than 1,800 alumni — including elected officials, business leaders, and community influencers — and equipping them with the insight, access, and relationships needed to lead and make an impact across Southern Nevada.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to connect, share their stories, and help shape the next class of leaders.

A day of education, connection and reflection for the Class of 2026 GOATs 🐐
The Class came together for Community Safety Net Day at Three Square to learn about the systems that support our neighbors and the challenges many face across food insecurity, education, housing, ageism, and more.
What began as a day of learning turned into a day of doing. From packing meal bags for local families to committing to small, everyday actions that can make a big difference, the Class left inspired to strengthen the Las Vegas Valley’s safety net — one step, one conversation, and one act of care at a time. 🐐✨
