Snaps from ZBR Fest 2025. Forever thankful for the friends I've made here and the community that welcomed me, and the chance to celebrate that each spring. Huge thanks to the Daves @zegema_beach for all the work that goes into this and for letting me be a part of it. See you all in 2026!

Spent a couple of days last weekend hanging out with old friends, becoming better acquainted with new ones, and seeing some killer sets. I'm truly thankful I got to spend some time amidst this group of lovely, talented people.
Check out the new records by @heavenlyblue_intl and @frailbodyil and catch them if they come through your area!
Six weeks late and a dollar short... 2023 was both the best and worst year in recent memory. I got more involved with the music and community that I love - 35+ shows and 4 festivals across 10 cities, ended up behind a merch table for the first time in my life, and even hosted a few bands. I got less weird about saying hi and introducing myself, and met so many great people. I traveled even more than 2022 - Chicago, LA, Savannah, Toronto, and lots of shorter jaunts between. I saw dolphins on the beach at sunrise, explored The Last Bookstore with my brother, visited some really awesome museums (though not as many as I wanted), ate some insane vegan food, hung out at the beach with @bleachedxcross , and went to my very first camping festival. I accidentally hiked a ridge in Pasadena at midnight, and caught covid in Canada (AGAIN). I drank a lot less and walked a lot more. I fell for someone, and was reminded that's not something I get to have. I lost 30 lbs in 10 weeks, which is probably not great, but my body and face feel like my own again. I found out I have arthritis in my neck. I grew my professional skillset, but I also burnt myself out trying to do the work of three people. I spent way, way too much money on records and merch and shows, and I'd do it again.
I don't know what 2024 holds, but I'm not sure how it could be any better - or any worse - than last year.

Took a 13 hour road trip last weekend with @onetripwest to pick up this majestic pup, and stopped in Cairo, IL on the way back. Cairo is 50% old houses and 50% mosquitoes.
