Nuestra exposición ~80 μA: Connecting the Body Electric en @minimalnyc_gallery cerró hace un par de semanas, y queremos agradecer a la galería por acompañarnos y apoyar este proyecto que invita a reconsiderar los vínculos entre naturaleza, tecnología e identidad a través de prácticas sudamericanas de nuevos medios. @natalianonatalia @juanitoferrer @_lucalee_ @ll4nquin @zamilo Durante los dos meses que estuvo abierta, @zamilo presentó su cortometraje Computer Vision, ofreciendo una mirada aguda sobre la supervigilancia. Hicimos dos proyecciones de @hyphavr , invitando a lxs visitantes a sumergirse en un mundo virtual inspirado en hongos y en formas de colaboración interespecie. En la noche de Halloween, @ll4nquin hizo un set en vivo usando una consola de videojuegos y FastTracker II. December in Chile is a season of longer light and sudden strokes of luck. Human bubble-masses shed their bruises, burning toward new life. Some people seek miracles by crossing highways on their knees to greet a weeping virgin who allegedly never fucked. Others take their chances on electronic apparatuses combusting the murk. A renewed appetite for life seems to press at the heels of the new year. Join us at Trans-pecos on December 5th for the accumulation and deployment of will to live, channeled through sets by BRITISH CHILEAN PETROLEUM, HECTOR LLANQUIN (LIVE), TOMAS URQUIETA, and JUAN FERRER. A sharing of the Pacific South-West’s luck, waiting awake, like a spy in the dark, to discharge that hit of chance that lights the life again. Unpacified Futures of @ll4nquin at 80ua Connecting the Body Electric At Minimal Gallery until November 12th I often wonder how cities might appear if history had taken another turn. If indigenous cultures, rather than being interrupted by violence, had continued to invent, adapt, and fuse. Imagine New York not only as a site of endless images but as a fabric woven with Mapuche patterns, Amazonian geometries, Andean silhouettes. The work engages with diffusion models as a way of opening a conversation with these new machines of vision, asking how technology dreams of bodies, of style, of presence. What emerges is uncanny and celebratory at once, an archaeology of possible fashions that never came to be yet somehow still resonate. It is less about nostalgia than about speculation. A glimpse into parallel streets, a reappearance, a continuity that insists on being imagined.
