included my sisters & mom & mother in law in this but there are SO MANY MORE women who have poured into my kids over the years. Friends who mothered me when I needed mothering. Our babysitter of 5 years @kristyntdavis ❤️ The TEACHERS. Mom friends I could call and ugly cry to. friends who aren’t moms who just showed up. This is for the caretakers, the bonus moms, the step moms, the grandmas, for everyone who steps in and steps up and who is pouring into this next generation of humans. I salute you. I see you. I stand in awe of you. This is the way we change the world. ❤️
There is NOTHING like seeing people pull something together collectively that wasn’t there before. I’m amazed at every show that ever opens and for me Lost Boys has been a peak experience of this. People across all departments at the top of their game, working harder and longer than they ever have before, somehow collecting all that work and talent into one vessel called a show and then it just is a piece of art that exists in the world?! What do you meannnn?! This shit is crrrrazyyyy. I can’t believe I get to do this. I can’t believe this group of humans even exists. I love them all so deeply already it’s insane. I would do every 8 am call; every cut costume, every “HOLES IN THE FLOOR!,” every blood finger, every shoulder pad, every harness hole, every preset three stories in the air, every frustrated previews cry, 6 days a week, 12 hour days over and over again for this group of people. this wardrobe & costume design crew…miracle workers. Met some of my new favorite people ever. This cast?! Hottest sweetest silliest humans on the planet. My Sho you are my show. Thank you for bringing me into this beautiful space. I love you forever OBVIOUSLY. Hardest working stage management team. The entire crew has been here at 8 am every day loading in since January. Kindest most generous and involved producers I’ve EVER worked with in 11 years & 16 shows on broadway. My goodness I could cry just thinking about how grateful I am. Lost Boys demanded so much of so many of us but it reminded me how much I love this job and love THEATER. This process has been truly singular and I don’t think there’s any way to describe it to anyone so it’s just gonna be ours. I just am so proud of us. We made it through the night.
some All Out glimmers of joy before I forget to post 🩶 in an ever scarier world of unknowns, just feel really lucky to have a job where I can laugh every single day with humans I love.
