So happy to release these photos! Back in January, on a windy afternoon, photographer @marianajocic , model/musician @tisskeen , and I met to snap some pics. I always get nervous before a shoot, but working with these two- watching Astan KA’s strong poses, owning the outfit and atmosphere, and the clear and calm vision of Marijana- it was nothing short of a dream.
I’ve been working on my own for the better part of the last year, refining my vision of what sustainable fashion can look like. To me, fashion is a very personal form of expression- whatever that may look like- it belongs to you. It’s beautiful, but the current fashion industry is rife with environmental and humanitarian problems. I’m still figuring it out, but for now I’m focusing on utilizing every scrap to make pieces that hopefully make you feel exactly like *you*.

A very special birthday workshop for Lucie 💘💘
Here I took a step away from making dye vats (although we did a little natural dyeing while we waited for the fabrics to steam 🌬️)and we explored eco printing, a process that shares some similarities with natural dyeing, but is ultimately it’s own magical universe. Because it’s winter, we played with dried rose petals, marigold, and onion skins on silk. I wish I had recorded the sound when everyone opened their silks- pure joy ⭐️
If you’ve been cursing the icy sidewalks & persistent grayscale, this workshop’s for you. Warm up by the heat of the dye vats and make yourself (or a loved one) a colorful silk scarf. All materials provided & everyone is welcome, simply come with your curiosity.
