Nigeria's Child Rights Act was signed into law in 2003 yet more than two decades later, the fight for its full adoption is still ongoing. The CRA was designed to protect every Nigerian child from abuse, child marriage, trafficking, forced labour, and denial of education. But because Nigeria's federal structure requires each state to independently domesticate the law, millions of children remain without its protection. As of early 2026, Gombe State remained the last holdout, having not fully assented to the Act. Children in non-compliant states remain subject to practices like early marriage, female genital mutilation, and begging practices the CRA explicitly prohibits. Progress has been made. But the lessons from these campaigns are clear: legal advocacy without funding, without community trust, and without public accountability will not be enough. Swipe through. Last week, The REED Project expanded to Sabon Gari Community, Keffi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. But in that same room, we also witnessed commitment. Stakeholders signed commitment forms. Communities proposed solutions. And before we left, scholarships were awarded to girls who deserved a second chance. We sat with 13 stakeholders, religious leaders, chiefs, parents, and had an honest conversation about the girls in their community who have been left behind. We believe when leaders speak, communities listen. And when leaders act, things change. The Stakeholders signed commitment forms. 📋 They committed to stand for the education of married girls and young mothers in Keffi. Married Girls and Young Mothers Have a Right to Education Too. #TheREEDProject #ReclaimingEducation #GirlsEducation #NasarawaState #Keffi

In Nigeria, millions of girls are pushed out of school by child marriage and teenage pregnancy and only a few ever make it back. Swipe through to see what the numbers reveal and why re-entry into education must be more than a conversation. #DataForThePeople #GirlsEducation #EduData #EndChildMarriage #REED

International Day of Women and Girls in ICT For me, tech isn’t just about writing code, it’s about opening doors for girls, helping them believe in themselves, and showing them that they belong here too. Every step I take in this field is part of a bigger purpose: creating opportunities and building a future where no girl is left out. 💻✨ #GirlsInICT #WomenInTech #PurposeDriven

We celebrate every girl who dared to dream in code 💻 This International Day of Women & Girls in ICT is a global reminder that technology is better, fairer, and stronger when girls are in the room. This year's theme: "AI for Development: Girls Shaping the Digital Future" 🌍 To every girl exploring tech, studying computer or information science, building apps, asking questions, and refusing to be told this space isn't for her - this day is yours. The future of AI will be shaped by the voices we include today. Let's make sure those voices sound like ours. 🔗 Tag a girl in tech who inspires you 👇 #GirlsInICT #WomenInTech #NigeriaInTech #AIForDevelopment

THE REED Stakeholders Engagement. In Dape Community, Abuja, we convened traditional leaders, community stakeholders, tribal heads, and Chiefs to address the barriers preventing girls from returning to school. The discussion focused on practical solutions, strengthening support systems, creating flexible pathways, and ensuring accountability within the community. Because when leaders take ownership, real change begins. #ReclaimingEducation #REED #StakeholderEngagement #GirlsEducation #Abuja

Education does not end because life happened. Every married girl and young mother deserves a second chance to learn, grow, and thrive. The REED 2026 is about reclaiming education and creating real pathways for re-entry for girls and young mothers in Nigeria. Because motherhood or marriage should never be the end of a girl’s future. 📍Coming soon in Abuja and Niger State Together, we can break barriers and reopen doors to education. #TheREED2026 #ReclaimingEducation #GirlsEducation

Education is one of the most powerful tools we have, not just to inform, but to transform. It gives individuals the ability to think critically, dream boldly, and act intentionally. It opens doors that once seemed closed and creates pathways where none existed. When we prioritize education, we are not just preparing people for today, we are equipping them to shape tomorrow. And that is how lasting change begins. #EducationMatters #FutureFocused #EduData #LearningForLife #ImpactDriven
