My beautiful friend asked me to record to this monologue from a nollywood film and encouraged me that i would be good to which I first I thought no thanks 😂
2025 acting wise was so tough for many reasons and my self image was in the pits at the time. ZERO CONFIDENCE, However I watched clip and for a few days, I couldn’t get it out of my head. One night I couldn’t sleep, so I brought out my phone, started learning the lines and each line kept making me cry 😂 I felt so seen, same feelings but different situation. I felt like I made a mistake in hearing God, my career choices, coming to Nigeria because it wasn’t going the way I wanted and I wanted to blame God but that didn’t work. I recorded so many versions, some improv 😭 then I had to even edit some parts because I kept crying, breaking down, forgetting lines and my phone dying 😅

Not long ago the thought of November 1st filled me with so much anxiety and crippling fear. What changed the game for me was ME CHOOSING to surrender knowing how hard it was going to be. Not just on my knees (the act of it) but surrendering my discontent, my fears, my pains, my doubt, my failures, my achievements, my embarrassments, my pride, my understanding/logic, my wisdom, my gifts.
Some things/visions/assignments will never be clear until you bow, until you let go, until you COMPLETELY SURRENDER IT ALL to Jesus.
