Behind the glamour, music and spectacle of Blondes Have More Fun is something deeply personal to me — raising awareness for pancreatic cancer and supporting PanKind – The Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation 💜
What makes this even more emotional is that, instead of Mum being the one asking for help or slowing down through everything she’s faced… she’s been the driving force behind this show becoming what it is.
She’s pushed me, supported me, encouraged me and believed in this production every step of the way - when really, it should be the other way around.
So the very least I can do is use this platform, this stage and this show to help raise awareness for a disease that desperately needs more attention, more research and more hope.
Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers because it’s often detected too late. Awareness truly matters. Conversations matter. Support matters.
